I know this is an unpopular opinion, but... Mistrial is the only grind I think is acceptable to have a good sized gap between your feet AS LONG AS you get that back foot ALL THE WAY DOWN. Again, it's all about being intentional and demonstrating control.

@@TomMoyseI've always done them ultra sat down, arse on the cuff style. But the back foot was never really locked in properly. I think more stood up with the back foot in a torque position looks way better. It's not easy undoing two decades worth of muscle memory.. but it's always good to pin point and work on your weak spots xD

I skated for 15+ years, still do, and never heard of the gap before... Learn something new everyday. I think most the time I keep it together but ive definitely had gaps. Used to step up a lot when learning until one day I realized its wrong and had to relearn. Its so hard not to step up to backslides or torques.

I don't know rules to tricks and I mix up trick names all the time. I never had rollerblading friends growing up, and by the time media on the topic became more accessible where i live I just watched videos for visual information instead of nomenclature; seeing where they put their feet, how and when they grabbed, etc.

Me and my boys always rinsed each other and it was never landed if not executed properly, all in good jest and it made us better.
