I swear no one has ever broken this move down so completely and simply before. This is the move I chased for a long time when I started out skating. If I had this video then it would have saved my a lot of heart aches, head aches, body aches….literally all the the “aches” 😩😆

🤕 🤕💕💕. It’s such a cool move that looks so easy but there’s so much more going on. 😎😎.

O.M.G the little word ‘manual’ in connection with the c turns finally finally unlocked this move for me 😵 I was always told to lift my whole leg up and set it down 180deg to the other foot. Could not for the life of me do it due to lack of flexibility and felt completely stuck. Thank you!! You’re the best ❤
@Skatie Жыл бұрын
Glad it helped. I use the manual a lot as it acts as a guide wheel. Feels much safer than lifting the whole foot. Have fun ⭐️💕🛼

I just learned this in derby where you need to lift the foot completely because if you don't, you could actually trip over someone else's skate. I like to try to drill both ways 🥰

360 manuals.. I feel like I was already working on them but the pivots version. Step, step, toes, step, heels was my rhythm. It's always nice to be doing something and hear an explanation of it at the same time but a little different 😊😊

So very well explained 🧠💡 I have been drilling heel and toe manuals, so I feel the360 turns are within my grasp. The skill building efforts are about to make me feel actually cool at the rink 😂 Thank you.

I can do the first part, but never realized it was an Open Book turn. I just do it from muscle memory. :) The second half, backwards to forward, I will have to try. You make it look soooo easy. Thanks for making this tutorial. It's very helpful.

You can do it! It’s great when our bodies just start doing it for us! Love a bit of muscle memory. 🏆👍🌟😎

YOU have the must helpful videos out there!!!! Please keep them coming!!! I’m a roller derby newbie and I looking for drills/exercises that can help me to unlock and hamstrings and hips? What would you recommend to no so flexible skaters? I feel I’m I can’t do many tricks due to this issue… would you make a video about that??
@Skatie Жыл бұрын
Thank you 💕⭐️🛼. I find that yoga helps me with flexibility. Some of the positions skaters have to get into are so awkward.

OMg this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for!! I've wanted to attempt the "traveling spin" for a while but I just could NOT find a good video to just explain how it's executed. And I didn't just want to go throwing myself into it willy-nilly, especially with 45 degree heavy aluminum plates that sometimes make it difficult for me to get my skate all the way around in time due to the weight of them. Can you tell us what plates you are using, please? I see these all the time in competition but in America I just can't seem to find them!
@Skatie Жыл бұрын
So glad it’s helpful. I use the roll-line dance plate. They’re an Italian brand known for being very high end, sadly with a similar price tag but I do love the action and response they give me.
@MisadventuresinMotherhood Жыл бұрын
@@Skatie Thanks for the kind and helpful response!! I am totally willing to spend the money to get a good plate right from the get-go then spend ten times that much messing around with "test plates" that I think will fit the bill and end up just disappointing me. Thank you SO MUCH... will be buying those and mounting them on my Jackson Atom boots (originally designed to pair with the Atom inline wheels, they're a marriage between two companies that made the most supportive boots I've ever put on)! Pricey, but worth not having to experiment! Thank you, thank you!! Can't wait to see this combo make MAGIC!! You're awesome!! I'll keep following!
