Graciie Vegan I remember seeing your post on Instagram about when you broke your foot. I broke mine in June on a roll out with Planet Roller Skate. I freaking sucks, miss skating so much. They’re having a all girls skate in my town and I wanted to go to lend my gear, but did want to look stupid with my knee scooter. Lol but watching you push along, makes me feel less stupid. I think I’ll go to that skate then!

Jocie Jara Ugh this breaks my heart. The struggle to do anything is so much harder. But try to look at the bright side for example for me I’ve never in my life had upper body strength. Now I can do ONE pull-up lmao I can finally balance on one foot. My patience... let’s just say I have patience now 😅 This broken ankle sucks soooo much but I did learn a lot (especially this being my first broken bone evahhh) and also the skating community is amazing!!! They really helped me get out of my funk (depression). I suggest to go to that event it’ll help you out. Plus sometimes just watching you catch something you didn’t know before. For two months now I’ve been learning how to skate... visually 😅

Graciie Vegan I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who got depressed after a break. Same this is my first broken bone. I can’t say my upper body strength has improved, but my right leg balance sure has. But yeah after I broke it the skate community was so nice. Can’t wait till we get back out there 🤙🏼

Actuallyemelie Same two months for me. My bone is healed now but unfortunately I still can’t stand. My foot hurts soooo bad. But let’s all have a speedy recovery so we can all go skate together 🙌🏽

I'm the same but with general anxiety going out the house I'm fine until I'm off my property and then I'm a shaking mess I took two ride outs with my son and legs shook so bad I couldn't stop moving. I think repetition is the only way to conquer this for me. Like wearing down my fear response might help.

I have the same problem!! I don't like going to any beach paths or anything bc they're so crowded. But I found a local park that has a great pathway around the outside and netball courts that I can skate on to practice! So it's perfect bc I can develop my street skate skills somewhere that's less crowded, then hopefully I won't be looking like a rookie in front of a bunch of people hahaha

I'm so upset about that poor girl with the leg injury. Like how are you going to purposely fall/crash into someone just because you're scared to get hurt yourself?! That's all part of learning how to skate. I was practicing a trick one time, and stupidly held the position too long, lost my balance and skinned my knee. It took a good two weeks or more to heal. I'm not complaining... And I knew I should have put my pads on before hand! It's the times when I don't trust my intuition that I end up paying the most... Trust your gut gals!
