There's a chest with the inscription "Full of treasure, do not open." Inside is a piece of paper saying "The real treasure was the friends we made along the way." Dob throws all his friends into the sea.

Merilwen befriends the sea creatures and plays with them. Prudence is saved by Cthulu's tentacles. Egbert is kind of surprised but rolls with the new situation. Corazon hates every second of it. Prudence and Corazon: "WHY, DOB. Just...why?!" Dob: "Look... guys... the treasure chest has spoken. I did not make up the rules, I am but a player in this game...we call life. I did what had to be done. If anything, consider this an on brand thing"

thats why i prefer the not live encounters. the crowd interactions are great, but the boss encounters feel kinda pointless

Yeah I’d love to see one of the planned encounters of a live show actually play out as Johnny intended .. you can tell the work he puts into these (baby Egberts having the same stats as daddy eg ) .. and dob just has to go for the massive derail I mean it’s funny and entertains as heck but for once I’d love to see a full on boss battle

@@primemeridianx332 i didnt take that as the eggberts have the same hit points as eggbert himself. i know he asked what eggberts hitpoints were, but because they werent fully formed and didnt even have scales i kinda assumed he halved the hitpoints or maybe even just 70% or something. we know for a fact that they didnt have the same AC because of that

@@DrBrangar Oh, I don't think those are major derailments. If Dob hadn't summoned the skeletons, they'd probably spent 3 minutes hiring a crew from the docks. Rest of the story would be mostly the same (minus the drinking skulls and the bird puppets) Dragging the jailor along was indeed a major derailment. I remember now (they all have their major derailment moments so after a while it becomes tricky to remember which episode was derailed by whom)

Still love the series but it just seems to get derailed to the point where no actual fight properly takes place at the live events its like Okey 2 minutes how can we possibly think of a way to finish in that time again love the series and the derailments but there isnt any time for the fights so nobody really has a chance of dying "aside from walking into a bottomless void on a trial of faith"

Yeah, i don't mind the combats being relatively easy. We all love the characters and such, and don't really want them to die. Wacky is fine and fun and creative, I just wish they had more time to explore the world and stories Johnny has laid out for them *with* that trademark wackiness. He clearly put so much time and effort into making the stories and boss battles but when it's live they often kind of get rushed through and end up throwing Cannons and d20s till it stops breathing. No fault of their own, just a symptom of the time crunch. A derailment is fine and natural, but it's a shame when the experience gets rushed by the ticking clock. I totally get why they do the live shows and they're still hillarious and fun, I just hope they do another one at Loading Bar some time and give Johnny a bit of a breather on having to cram a quest so tight.

I kind of wish they would stop the live show format, having to change the rules and end the fight suddenly because they are "almost out of time" is starting to get old fast. Would rather have a proper boss fight. btw, not sure an army of eggberts would be such a bad thing, give the grells something to do and hopefully decrease their count before they can turn on the oxventurers
