Obviously, someone who has written such brilliant lyrics as 'Sympathy For The Devil' or 'Paint It Black' can never be a fool. Mick has always been a very intelligent and clever person.

Lol. Mick is so articulate, thoughtful and well-mannered, he totally throws them for a loop because they expect a blathering imbecile. He's completely self-possessed and aware of his incredible charisma, which makes him very happy. It's even a struggle for him not to break out into a big wide grin while he's talking...

You've interpreted him perfectly!

pup lover Hey thanks! He's doing the band, especially Keith, a great favor with this freakin brilliant interview. Like I implied before, the fact that he didn't say "Oy, sod off then. It's me own bodday an I'll do whut I bluddy well please, won't I?" but instead showed himself as intelligent and responsible did a lot to keep the authorities at bay. Keith, highly intelligent also, sounded like every interview was his last! Lol!

Lol, love your British accent there. It always pisses me off, Mick gets SO much grief, he is always accused of being the tight-fisted, megalomaniacal task master and Keith is the cool junkie tossing witty bon mots. Truthfully, w/o Mick, the whole Stones ship would have sunk decades ago (or as Mick says, deCADES.) If not for his brilliant business acumen and discipline. Not only that, he's the Stones' lyricist (98% of the time) and his lyrics are erudite, provocative, whimsical, subversive and entertaining as hell. I adore Keith, too, but Mick is a brilliant brilliant guy. I've loved both of them for over 35 years!

pup lover You've interpreted him perfectly! Lol! As far as me accent (I'm uh Murikan), I was lucky enough to spend a year in England for my third year of college. Freakin loved every minute of it! '67-'68 it was, wunnit? When I was there, I discovered Captain Beefheart (ironically enough, Trout Mask was recorded in my home town, a suburb of LA.), and one of the best bands of all time, who were almost unknown in the States: the Move!

pup lover As far as Mick the artist, I've always thought he was the best singer, the most expressive. He's not Steve Winwood or Paul Rogers, both of whom have fantastic voices, but he's unique. As a lyricist, he may be the best ever, too. Gimme Shelter, Sympathy, Brown Sugar, Jumpin Jack Flash, many, many others, plus the most hauntingly beautiful slow song in rock history, absolutely in a class by itself, Moonlight Mile, recognized as a pure classic on the day it was released

@Bool1995 Not in this period it wasn't - Andrew Loog Oldham dropped the 's' from his surname because he thought it sounded more "pop"; he was "Keith Richard" from 1963 until the late '70s.

i think like, hey, drugs aren t all bad, they certainly aren t all good...i do remember from my generation in the seventies, drugs seemed to be so so popular, and a lot of kids were destroyed it seemed,,,however,.it is complex. however, if you want to be honest, the rock stars of that era inpired a lot of kids to take drugs. it may have been more implication, like you know, srgnt pepper album or strawberry fields or mothers little helper, or songs that may imply drugs or whichever. i think when there is a rock star bust in those days, its almost like pr for drugs. i mean how cool is it for mick to get arrested and have an interview like dis one....now it may not have been intentional for rock stars to get kids on to drugs. but sometimes they sure influenced them to, conciouss or unconsiouss, and that is honesty...i d say i like a lot of the hippie stuff, and idealims, the utopic thought of those years, and it can be inspirational. but heavy drugs in itself can be very destructive, and that is honesty...i love the music, i love the sentiment, i don t mind a beer and a few asprins listening to the stones. but i m totally against heroin addiction, or say , jumping out of a building on the lsd ..haha
