@@FYCBTW ok here's my idea. By the fact that Hammond fought in the scrapyard, which reminded me of the WWE, i had "the ring" idea. When Hammond uses his ult, it's similar to mines where he shoots out the thing, but instead of it being mines it's 4-6 pillars. Each pillar becomes a corner and gets connected by 3 visible lines. although the pillars are only like 3 meters tall, the vertical range of the ult is up to 5 meters. while ball is within this "ring" he gains infinite hook with zero cool down, *slightly* higher damage, and faster reloads. This effect lasts outside the ring for .5 seconds. For the enemy team, the ring works like a negative Baptiste, where damage and healing is mitigated. also, although you can shoot through the ring the enemies cannot pass through it, like a mei wall. The enemy team can walk in but won't be able to get out. The pillars or corners of the ring can be shot and destroyed as they have a set health pool. when they are destroyed the ring opens up then closes at another 2 pillars. For example if it's decided that it'll be 4 pillars in a square shape, when one pillar is destroyed the 2 that were connected to said destroyed one will attach turning into a triangle where all above properties apply. This ability is meant to be a play on how Hammond was a powerful contender of the scrap yard. "while within his ring, you are at his mercy" kind of thing. the weaknesses are the slight startup and destroyable pillars. also he has to be within the ring to gain said benefits which limits him as well. The ring can be used a number of ways like for example: 1. Used to trap the enemy team and take em all out 2. Separate half the team like a mei wall 3. Drop behind or Infront of a team so that you can boop them into it which leads to 1 or 2. 4. Drop it in front of the enemy team because of the damage reduction and healing reduction properties (let's say the DPS are extended, you can drop the field in between them and the healers so ana, Moira, and Baptiste healing is reduced and if mercy tries to fly in, she'll get stuck in the ring) 5. Drop on your team for the same above properties. All in all it's meant to be a "selfish cc" ability which is basically what ball is. It keeps the concept of dropping stuff on the enemy team without it being too op (since they can destroy it) and also makes ball more fun to play (since he gains a boost in the ring as well).

Basically ball becomes this swinging madness in the ring and anyone trapped keeps getting hopped until death and the enemy’s have to either focus pillars or step in the ring to defend the squishys. I like the idea but logistically I can’t see it fitting in the current game. As I read your rework I drifted into what if when you ult you spin around rapidly kind of like a Hammond death blossom that constantly boops people (but not in your control) just round in round in a defined ring radius. It’s much simpler but I could actually see something like that incorporated. If kunkerqueen wasn’t added then his ult could make grapple hits do the purple healing thing to enemies during his ult, kind of like how I imagine the prism your imagining

If tracer blinks she basically disappears for a moment, so LOS boop works on tracers. (If you dont have line of sight on someone you just booped once like disappearing behind a pole for a mil sec you can boop him once more. But in this situation it was a strafe boop. (but the blink might helped too) Strafe boop works in a way that if you boop someone and curve your movement after, you can boop someone once again after the hit timer starts again. There are like 3 timers for boops, one is the normal timer that checks on when the boop happened. Second one is the floor timer, if the enemy hits the floor faster the timer instantly resets. (Imagine you boop someone up the stairs they arrive faster on the floor therefore you can boop them more) Third one checks for LOS, if you boop someone and lose line of sight after (at least according to the game), you can boop them once more. Maybe timer is not the correct term, but I think you can understand what I wrote. If not Search for LOS Boops and Strafe Boops and you will find some videos about it.
