How do you top a twice-platinum smash album like It Won't Be Soon Before Long? For Maroon 5, you team up with the producer behind megahit records like AC/DC's Back in Black and Def Leppard's Hysteria. For their forthcoming disc Hands All Over (due out in September), the California pop-rockers jetted over to producer Robert "Mutt" Lange's studio in Lake Geneva, Switzerland, where they spent two months writing and recording their third record. Rolling Stone has exclusive footage of the group cutting the new album (check out the clip above).

Listened to the whole album. It was really cool being able to realize the songs in the making here. 0:16 is the drum part from the title track "Hands All Over". 0:21 Mickey is playing the bass part from "I Can't Lie". 2:53 is "Give A Little More". Amazing album btw, it really should have charted higher

Saw this months ago, tonight it took me 2 fuckin hours to find it on youtube, I almost gave up, glad I didn't. Don't know why, but its like I'm hanging with the band, personal, quiet, no publicity stunts, just regular guys. I love this. Anyone agree?

Songs about Jane was just too good I think. It didn't have a single song I disliked. They peaked right there. made "ok-ish" songs after that and at some point went downhill.

When you hear "Hands all over" you realize why they were having problems. That song is horrible, not their style at all-country of all things!
