Good to see you pushing these ladies. They absolutely rock. Very easy listening. Vocals and instrumentation on point. Azalea is my favourite. Cute as well. Iree the red hair never stops smiling

The second track, musically makes me think of Lynyrd Skynrd simple man meets Ozzy's Killer of Giants...While I'm on the subject of the second track Azalea, I should point out that it's actually a Maya cover. The poem "Azalea" is known by all Koreans as having a political message. After 1922 when poet Kim Sowol first published it, the poem was an influence during the 80s and 90s in South Korea during pro-democracy movements. You see, as crazy as it may sound, South Korea didn't actually become a democracy until 1997. When Maya did her song "Azalea" in 2003 by using the entire original poem as the chorus to her song (the verses around the chorus are new to Maya's song) every Korean understood it as being a political song. 2003 was a big year because that was the year when worldwide protests were held against the Iraq War. In Maya's video, some of the images you see are of the protests against the Iraq War. The poem "Azalea" is an anti-occupier message. Kim Sowol coded it as a poem about a break up because Japan did not allow Koreans to have freedom of speech so any overt criticism against Japan by Koreans at that time would've meant death. Since the lyrics in Rolling Quartz's cover are exactly the same as Maya's, there is no difference in meaning. The significance with Rolling Quartz's version is the year that they released their cover. They released their cover this year in 2022. That's the 100 year anniversary of the publishing of Kim Sowol's famous "Azalea" poem.

Good band, I've been following Iree guitar since 2018, she recruited Arem and started up Rolling Girlz, they tried several vocalists and drummers before drafting the current line-up and renaming it Rolling Quartz. Their hard work is now paying off.

Azalea kinda reminds me of Metallica's The Unforgiven a bit!! This is like fining a unicorn 🦄 & in Skorea of all places blows my mind. 🙀💕 I mean I would expect this coming from Japan. However, in the land of K-Pop and BTS, no offense. This makes a pretty strong case for an evolving industry there in need of support. Add to this Dreamcatcher & I think it warrents further exploration as who would have thought? Great reaction here BTW!! 🤟🦊💕

I love Rolling Quartz. They were formed when members from the bands Rolling Girls and Rose Quartz came together to create Rolling Quartz. They are putting on a album release concert on youtube this weekend March 27th. The best thing it's free, so come check them out.

Thank you for the snack pack! K-rock. Korea's answer to the Japanese rock scene. "Delight" was the first song they wrote together as a band. So yeah, a little bubble gum, but the mid break is cool. Love it when Hyunjung (blue hair) hits the strings between the nut and the tuning pegs to get that screech sound. "Azalea", later tune....they're more seasoned. Yes, admittedly a better song.

I'm telling you - Band-Maid had better watch their rear-view mirror, because these fine ladies are gaining ground on them.

I adore this band. Watched everything on their KZbin channel. Second in my heart only to Band Maid when it comes to Asian girl band's. If you want to hear them sing in English check out their covers of Skid Row Youth Gone Wild. Or Gaga's Bad Romance wich they hard rock out. She sings in English like she's from Ohio. No accent at all. Great Reaction! Rock On!😎🤘🤘🤘🤘

Brew Brown sugar, nice pack. Rolling Quartz are great rock band. Jayoung is the vocalist. Love her voice. Iree is lead guitar, red hair. Arem is bassist. Hyunjung is blue haired guitarist. They aren’t metal, just plain ole rock. Just great relaxing band. But yeah, like this band, great album. Their slowly releasing each track on YT.

Three more recommendations: *(1)* Rolling Quartz ft. Alexa "Xtra" (rock version of Alexa's summery bop) *(2)* Alexa ft. Diablo "Bomb" (rock version of AleXa's debut song) -- The Diablo here is a Korean metal band. These will probably hook you on AleXa; later, do the four part "trilogy" of official MV's, "Bomb", "Do Or Die", "Villain", and "Revolution" _in order,_ because there is a storyline. *(3)* the totally unrelated "Bad Apple (English version)" -- cover of a Japanese game OST song -- by RichaadEB ft. Cristina Vee

I can guarantee you that they are a REAL band and veteran musicians too. They do play and sing live in their concert too. So no make believe here. Anyway why compare Korea and Japan band man, Rock is Rock in any languages or countries.
