This would take just long enough for them to bleed out. How bout airbags or the spreaders to relieve pressure on trapped arm and then work on getting the door open ?
@JOSENOELEYVA3 жыл бұрын
The problem with those options are technical. It would be easier and Faster with airbags or spreaders as you said however you have less control and the vehicle might rock back or lean to the other side. You have more control by grabbing the entire back of the car with jacks.

Also, Fire is always thinking about eliminating unnecessary risk. So stabilization & meticulous extrication are most important as they do not want to cause more injury.

@@JOSENOELEYVA I disagree. Throughout this video I was saying the same thing... airbags and spreaders. They're not less stable.

@@aloysiusdevanderabercrombi470 I think spreaders would be less stable. There is always the chance that the spreader will tip sideways or the ground will giveaway. The Res-q-jack have a nice large foot plate that will spread the load. If I was using a spreader I would be feeling that I was taking a risk. Where would you put the spreader? Would you go for the front of the car close to the A or B piller and then "pack as you jack"?

All of the above listed methods are definitely less stable. The only change i would make is running the chain through the rear windows. Much quicker, and no extra shimming or void space padding.

Don't worry about driving the picket into an underground power line or gas line it will just make everything more exciting and faster extraction!

Guys I think it's important to take up as much slack as possible to maximize the lifting capability of the res-q-jack

Love it, captured some new techniques gudos.

Very risky when working away fro:the patient. Fundamental rule is to work closely to the patient as to ensure an effective lift. This worked for the trainer as the patient was still in the vehicle. Lots of over thinking here at a cost to any patient that maybe involved. In real life

You’re better off calling the funeral home then doing this method
@andyoxleyonhistravels2 жыл бұрын
This is what you would have done years ago. Casualties would be dead by the time you set it all up. Air mats and airbags are far better and quicker.
@lesterawalt31842 жыл бұрын
Them jacks are junk. This what you would do in 1980, Now you stick 2 air bags under and its done in like half the time

I mean.. cool video.. but the patient is dead by now. Just throw some airbags under or even your spreaders with cribbing and yank em out
@jo-elcody32452 жыл бұрын
Simultaneous airbags would have been much safer and prominent. Too much over thinking here, and too many complications the keep PT care from being fully hands on.
