In a Ferrari a V12 matters, in a Rolls-Royce I don’t think it does. No one ever purchased a Rolls-Royce because of its engine, look at all the cars in its history - the engine was never the star or the USP. Electric suits the brand perfectly, it’s quiet, less vibration, clean and with excellent performance. It will probably be even more reliable as well. The car looks superb, wonderful design and a very strong and imposing scale. No other car competes in this segment.

I wish there were a dark exterior package. I don't like the bright shiny chrome, especially the part going over the rear side window where it gets thicker. I think it's falling out of favor with many luxury buyers. A dark chrome would look much better all around!

What is the phone app like? The BMW one or something more premium? Now I've had my iX1 for a few months, I've realised that the My BMW app really isn't up to the job of what you really need from an EV. Looking at the reviews, i3 owners consider it a backwards step -and while I don't know that, I do know that it is worth buying an OBDII to Bluetooth dongle, then paying for Tronity (car status via BMW fleet management services) and A better route planner for route planning. BMW need to up their game by writing an app which meets the needs of us EV owners or integrating better with those external apps
