Emerson's setup is basically an archive historical museum of sound progression in the chain itself. Wow

Very cool. Thanks for this rare backstage glimpse of 3 of the best and most innovative musicians of the Folk Rock Era. Was happy to see them live once in 1977 at Cornell’s Barton Hall; an extraordinary concert I’ll never forget. RIP Keith & Greg

“Any questions?” I guess that pretty much sums it up.
@justinoldmusician53216 жыл бұрын
Got a keyboard tech for me, Keith? That would be my question. That tech freed him up to do so much more with keyboards he had on stage and he did...so much more. I've got MIDI, but even with that, there is a lot of changing things around. Doing it alone, live, on stage can be intense.

Thanks for sharing! Is this extra footage from the ELP blackmoon 93 tour dvd?
@ROLT11 ай бұрын
You're welcome. No this video and other parts I had copied from master tapes of MTV Brasil in 93 where I worked at that time, the production of the channel was preparing a special to be aired when ELP came here in Sao Paulo for a Tour, Carl Palmer came to MTV Brasil to an interview, but these rehearsal images was never used.

...actually, Moog being pronounced like "vogue" is correct. I, too used to pronounce it the way it looks; like "mood". By the way; how great are these backstage glimpses of the great Keith Emerson and his band?...
@bluarcher59412 жыл бұрын
yeah...a lot of people got the pronunciation wrong from hearing Bennie and the Jets; Elton needed it to rhyme with "mohair suit"... ( : P
@Kohntarkosz15 жыл бұрын
Because that's how it's supposed to be pronounced. It was always pronounced that way, but not everyone got the memo.

So.....Bob Moog built this for Keith when Keith was 21 ?
@ROLT2 жыл бұрын
He built it in 1969
@brianglock3099 Жыл бұрын
The original was 1 tier built in 1969 for a synthesizer quartet concert in the garden of the New York Museum of Modern Art. Unique to it is the hardwire preset box. After the concert Moog Music put it up for sale and Keith bought it. Bob assisted over the years expanding it and making custom modules for the system you see here. Great series of clips, thank you
@voncolborn94378 жыл бұрын
Was the concert recorded? Is it available?

Can somoene please clear something up for me, re Robert Moog? Why are people now pronouncing his name as "Moge" with a long "O" sound?
