Speedo is in KPH not MPH -> 90kph = 55.9mph... but that makes me wonder, is the odometer in KM too then? I would believe so, which means your 1200km is ~750mi. After researching this - anyone who buys it should immediately tighten every screw/bolt/fastener you can find with loctite, replace all fluids and filters, and be careful with the footpegs (don't lean it to far) :)

check out my review. you can get 75 . needs mods. if you want the bike!? order better parts to put of when it gets to you. new foot pegs, carb,air filter, 10 gram roller weights, spark plug, ignition coil, and a new cdi.

David Jones You are correct, both are in milometers. I just got one today and noticed how many “miles” i put on on a short trip. The speedometer has a smaller inset of MPH, but it’s hard to see when driving bike

Why didnt you drill out the bolts that broke and have some bmx pegs bolted on it

It can be found at any autozone just tell them it's the carb overflow screw and it's a small gold screw with a flathead....make sure if you haven't already to put it in there nice and tight, but if not any bolt of the same size will serve the same purpose...sorry for the super late response.

If you haven't already bought it you definately should!, it's excellent on gas and it got me (5'10" 225) up to 50mph cruizing speed in no time while still getting a solid 60+ miles to the gallon....the only issues I had was trying to ride in the rain, it won't run if you get water in the carb

They must have put a MPH sticker over top of the KPH. To convert KPH to MPH multiply the speed by 6 and drop the last digit. It's not exact but it will work on the fly.

Im an owner. Im 5'11. 190lbs. I do 55-60 half throttle twist cruising. Weight and wind, definitely a factor. Currently seeking a 232cc Ruckus upgrade. Can someone point me in that direction in Florida? Maybe Georgia?

You can fit any GY6 engine to this frame the head will fit, but it has to be in this lay down configuration that includes up to a 300cc engine

@Pablo Garcia the only reason this bike has broken down on me is when I put on a performance intake and tried to ride in the rain, I got water in my carburetor... Which was all my fault... So it's a VERY dependable bike with the engine and drive train

@@ShenanFord-t5n there's a very small gold screw on the carb that was very loose and wasn't sealed when I first got the bike that does something for the A/F ratio... Once I snuggled that screw down it was very consistent and reliable. It's been years so I hope that helps lol

It's a lot of fun and once you get rid of the footpegs like I did you can actually lean it over pretty damn far on these tires with no trouble, ride safe, and have fun!

i got a 2021 roma superhornet i get it to 63 with just spark plug and air filter upgrades. Do you still have the bike or did you ever upgrade it? Any suggestions?

Yep I did the same spark plug upgrade and also changed out that super restrictive intake to a cold air intake which really did help, there's some kind of governor I also removed from the drive belt as well, but I don't remember

Yea I'm riding a Ninja 650r now but I'd definately recommend buying this bike again, it was excellent on gas, quick enough to commute on and I learned great traffic habbits on it as well...other than the initial problems it's very dependable.

That's gonna be one of 2 things... Check to make sure the little gold bolt at the end of the black tube wrapped in metal is still tight... Outside of that you need to have an adjustment to the carb jets done it may be too lean, I hope this helps

yea i really wanted to do that and get a top speed of about 80mph out of it...but when I took it to the shop and heard the risk and the amount of fabrication they would've had to do I backed out, I'm just saving up for a Ninja 650 as my next bike.

Yea I called them and they weren't very helpful...but I did do the performance intake, jet the carb, performance coil and spark plug...and I got a little extra top end and PLENTY of extra acceleration....next would be the variator weights to work on that top end.

candace lea from what I can remember the only vibrations I could feel were at low RPM when applying full throttle, all cruising speeds weren't bothersome at all

You can get the speed up to 72/76 mph with different upgrades. Any extra weight will decrease the top end speed!

The adult weight that would be exact of about 165 and again upgrades would allow this bike to perform much better. Keep in mind if all stock parts were or not changed out, the lost of performance is already from first start on the bike.

Didn't you bother to check and see if all the bolts and nuts were tight lose a foot pad going down the road while your weight suspended on a good chance of a wreck been riding motorcycles in 73 check your bolts loctite them if you need to especially on Chinese bikes

look for a cam for a gy6 150cc make it rev higher the cams are only like 50 bucks you will no longer get mileage that worth damn but you will top out higher and you could change the gearing and tire size you will get to almost 80 with all that if you play your cards right

Salaam (peace)Tony & Respective community, The Scooters and Sport Mopeds that are around today, outperform the "older" forms of scooter, and moped. Traditional scooter and moped speeds top out at 30&20 mph, respectively. However today's scooter's do about 35-40mph(generally speaking). The Sport Mopeds which replaces the traditional mopeds have engine sizes ranging from 50cc-200cc. Their speeds are from 40-65mph.The speed rating of 75 on the average 125cc (Chinese Scooter) is not rated in mph, it is kph (I.e. kilometers per hour). 75kph equals appr 47mph. If you truly understood this principle, you would also realize that there is a +/-10 mph window that is given (allowed by the manufacturer). Take 47 mph (top speed) + 10 mph (allowed by mnfc.) = 57mph (absolute maximum).125 & 150 cc are moped sized engines. 215cc. and up are sizes where you can really go 65 mph and keep it there without any problems to your engine!!!!. (Note: 232cc kit gives 70 mph without stressing your engine). Advertisers make these claims about doing 70-80 mph but if you asked the engineers who built those engines, their answers would be different!!!!! 70-80 kilometers per hour equals 47-52mph. And the digital gauges show accurately 47-52 mph. In the EAST, the people use kph instead of mph. As a person studies the majority of small engine displacement bikes, one will come to find that almost ALL of the cheaper priced Chinese bikes are cheaper priced for a reason. Similar motors in 125cc shifter karts achieve horsepower levels in the mid-teens, so there’s plenty of room for mods and customization.Modifications are necessary to achieve a sustained 65-75 mph. Most 125 & 150cc scooters&sport mopeds have VERY CHEAP parts, therefore cannot stand up to hard riding & abuse. The bikes will last if driven at moderate speeds (40-45mph), and proper maintenance kept up.For those persons who don't buy a factory made performance bike such as a 125cc Aprilla, Kawasaki, or Delano, you must make a number of upgrades to have a performance bike!!!!

+Bryan Phillips Yes I was getting those MPG I did the calculations at the pump based on the gas I put in vs how far I'd gone, not by the numbers in the bike....If I can get 50mpg out of my 2013 Daytona 675, I don't think my numbers were that extravagant for a 150cc bike lol

@@TY-jt9js sold it . but the mods I did were . knock the core out of the exhaust muffler there's like a corn inside of it that tones it down. if you take the muffler off and you get a Long bar you can pop that part out and it sounds a lot better. then I lowered the back like down 2 in. had to do some modification underneath the seat. so the carburetor wouldn't hit. lower the front about inch or two. took the stupid blinkers off the back and then I put individual turn signals.

Do you really wanna go cheap when it comes to a bike? Stay safe stick to the big 4 I recommend at least a 500cc because you will outgrow a 300cc real quick

Yes you do, because first starting out is when you'll make the most mistakes or likely put it on the ground and you want a slower bike with less power to get you out of irresponsible riding mistakes... Those good habits are crucial to learn early

Romas are cheap and unsafe. If you're on a budget and don't want that much power a 250cc or 300cc is cool I guess but still stay with in the big 4 honda,Kawasaki,Yamaha have some good 300cc.

tony45x220 I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that there is a break-in period for these engines, and after that it will increase speed. But 55mph for 220lbs is pretty good. That's all the speed i would ever need. I plan on getting this bike, is it still running good?
