I don't like SW products but use the Romabio and from my same Benjamin Moore dealer I get and offer the Coronado Texcrete. It's the same as loxon xp, a true paint and primer for brick and concrete.

We are fans of the texcrete line as well. Similar applications to the Loxon line

Can I use Loxon XP over a silicate (mineral) based paint? I have a project which was previously painted with Silin Silith coating (a mineral based coating). Do I have to prime the previously coated brick first?

Great question! Could I ask why the switch to loxon? Are you having moisture issues? If so there is a mineral shield product that bonds well to mineral paints!

do you have to prime with loxon xp only 1/3 of my home is brick ranch on bottom.. which is my basement area.. should I be afraid in hot atlanta

You don't have to prime with Loxon XP. However Other products in the Loxon line may need to be primed. In the Atlanta heat and humidity I would recommend the Romabio over the Loxon. However, if the house has already been painted with a latex paint you will need to go with Loxon. If its unpainted raw brick go with the Romabio.

I thought Loxon was considered a breathable paint as well? If i use Romabio on very smooth brick, will it stick to my brick?

On smooth brick We recommend using the Romabio Microgrip primer before to make sure you get the bond

@@Geoonthegrind Its's a semi permiable. Breatheable? Maybe better than some, but. Its breatheable like a water proof jacket. Would you rather have a goretex jacket on in july or one of those quick dry sun shirts. Goretex says it breatheable and it kinda is but nowhere near like a cotton shirt.

Shit I just bought 2 gallons of logon xp for my poured concrete foundation.I have no water issues and it seems like I just wasted money and in the end I could be trapping moisture in my concrete..why even sell this shit,what should I use

Great question. Yes on the cedar you will need to use a different product designed for wood.
