I don't find the amount of lgbtqi+ whatever, very appealing, especially some of the stuff with children transitioning and over in America and Canada. Project Veritas ect. But this guy/gal whatever, is a powerful beauty. Freddie Mercury made straight males realize they can like a gay guy. He brought ballet to the masses and people danced! Well this guy. I hope he continues to bring beauty to us all! The big push may have stopped pushing for now. But... Sam Tomkins has made it... So hopefully he will throw a ladder to the big push when he is able to. This was the first thing I heard after getting up today, with mind not yet cluttered with the minutiae of everyday life, I just wanted a great piece of music in the background for a nice start of the day, but hearing the intro I just melted and when you sung the first verse I had to pause and understand why. As great as the original song is, it wasn't just the song itself. It was obviously something additional, that is not present in Al Bowlly's, Sinatra's, Ella Fitzgerald's or Elvis's version. So I started listing to the short version on repeat, with my brain in high gear, and it dawned on me. I think what happened here is you emulated with you guitar some subtle characteristic of human singing voice. I am not a musician, so I have no idea what it is exactly. But what it has done to my brain was that while I consciously knew I hear an instrument playing, subconsciously it felt like somebody is singing to me, with emotion, which automatically elicited much more emotional reaction from me. And when you started singing, it felt like a second voice, like a duet, like a conversation, which made so much more impactful! Now I'm so curious if it's just my personal subjective experience (or hallucination 😊) or you planned it and did it on purpose, or something in between (if you did it on purpose, please tell me 😄). Anyway this performance (and you skills in general) is just amazing, love it ❤! P.S. I don't know if you heard about the claim that this song was not originally written in 1934 by Rodgers and Hart, but rather in 1931 by an unknown 17-year-old called Edward ROMAN. If true, it would be a nice, even if meaningless, coincidence.
