I almost feel like I am traveling around Europe... but from the comfort of my home!! Never heard of some of these places but after walking (home) have researched some of these places further. Exercise + History = WIN WIN!!! Beautifully clear video as always. Thanks for sharing.

Hey there Aussiegal, glad you're enjoying the videos. I've got 5 more walks done and I am working on getting them edited with bits of History. I hope you keep coming back! Thanks for watching.

Bellissimo video. Bellissimo anfiteatro. Non sapevo che l'anfiteatro di Pozzuoli fosse così imponente e ben conservato. Grazie infinite. Bravi.

Anfiteatro Flavio Puteolano (Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli). Though degraded a bit more than the famous Amphitheater in Rome (aka The Colosseum) , a big crowd day here in the Pozzuoli Amphitheater means seeing maybe 6 or 7 people!!! And its one price for the whole thing, you don't have to buy an upgrade price to go into the lower areas like you do in Rome. It is my favorite place in Pozzuoli, and if you save your ticket you can also access a few other sites, most importantly Sito Archeologico di Cuma (Cuma Archaeological Site) which are the remains of Greek Temples and Cave of Sibyl (think Virgil's Aeneid). They are just a few miles from the Amphitheater, and you get to drive by Mount Neuovo and Lago D'Averno (Lake Averno, famous from Dante's Inferno) and then through the Arco Felice Vecchio (a Roman Arch built 95 AD....the road actually goes through the arch and is narrow so watching for on coming traffic).

Unbelievable, and thank you. Everyone else Babels with the camera on their face. You’re the only one who actually videos the subject. I have subscribed.

So cool to see you can walk on the arena floor in this one!

Yeah, this Amphitheater is just downtown Pozzuoli and it is never crowded. It's a cool place to go if you're ever in the area.

Che spettacolo!!! Le terre campane erano tra le preferite dai PATRES e per non dimenticare il porto di Pozzuoli tra i più importanti dell'impero Romano

Thank you again for a great video. Video quality doesn't get any better than this. Pozzuoli is now - thanks to you - on my bucket list. I was surprised to learn that it is the third largest amphitheatre in Italy, as it could hold 20.000 spectators, whereas for instance the Verona arena could hold 30.000. I guess it has to do with diameter/physical size.

+aekhome Yeah Pozzuoli is a great town full of history. It's quiet and not touristy but fun to explore.

Hi, thanks! This walk hasn't been very popular but I think it is a pretty unique place. I like going to the less touristy places like this the most. Thanks for watching!

Wonderful photography..........One comment though. I think you could explain a little more in detail what exactly we're looking at in a lot of the shots. at the beginning of the tour we'ree looking at numerous alcoves and spaces that we really do not know what we're looking at. A little explanation would be nice. Other than that, a great tour.....Thank you.

Wait so the Flavian Amphitheatre is the next largest Amphitheatre after the Colosseum... Witch was actually called the Flavian Amphitheatre. I am so confused
@ProWalks5 жыл бұрын
Well..if I said second, I was mistaken. It is the third largest in italy after rome and Capua. The name Flavian refers the Flavian dynasty when it was built. So the one in rome and Pozzuoli were built around the same time.
