Roman's done it for over 2 years, breaking records because he's one of the few that's got it all to make it work. Hell, even now people are conflicted and you have half the crowd cheering him even when he leaned on Sami so hard for the past few weeks. I don't see anyone else on the roster making it work, the closest ones that could would be McIntyre and Lesnar, and Lesnar was an awful absent champion during his reign and would end up with "Go away" heat like Reigns did at times when he was face.

My goodness he's likable now. Just feels so secure now that WWE is not pushing him to be liked by people. Completely natural and actually owning the fact that it's scripted. Not keeping the kayfabe actually works for him here. Also love the fact that he mentioned Sami Zayn by name before Cody Rhodes. And he put Cody over hard here. The Rock might not be there, but things are already cooking in the right direction as long as WWE doesn't fuck this up.
