I would say he's hated for a much different reason than Cena, actually. I've been on Cena for years for a lot of things, but he's VERY charismatic. Cena was picked by the fans as the top guy, Roman was not. The difference was in follow through. As soon as Cena was the top guy, they took everything about his character, everything that got the fans to pick him, and COMPLETELY inversed it. Edgy became corny, angry became smiling, jerseys became tacky shirts, and rebellious became corporate. With Roman, there's nothing wrong with his CHARACTER. His character is actually perfect, his character is a badass who kills everybody. He doesn't talk like Cena, with these exaggerated catchphrases and silly facial expressions. He calls Brock a bitch, which, most of the people complaining about him want PG gone. The problem is that HE sucks. Cena never sucked, they just took what people loved about him and made them hate it. If you booked a guy who people actually liked the way that they book Roman, it would be perfect. Everybody goes on about how Roman is "too strong", meanwhile, nobody says that about Braun. Everybody's totally happy with Braun just bulldozing everybody and making everybody look stupid. You know why? Because Braun is a charismatic guy and he's a fun act and people are behind that. They're not behind Roman and it's not because of the way he's booked, it's the person who's BEING booked that way. This is why I've repeatedly said that a heel turn is not the solution. A heel turn isn't going to turn his career around, the guy doesn't have it in him. You need to cut bait on this guy and pick somebody else.
