Miranda, I love both of these paintings. I like to hear you talk about your process and your honesty about finding the trees annoying. Some painters talk like everything with their painting is amazing. It came make new painters feel frustrated when they have problems with their painting.

I'm so glad to hear that, as I sometimes feel bad when something with painting is annoying, but it just is! It's definitely not all fun and games. :-D

A fresh new palette is so lovely - mine is really well used now, starting to wish I had taken much more care with it. Love both your paintings. I'm with you love the idea of starting with a blotch and turning it into a thing 👏

Thanks, Kerrie. I REALLY enjoyed the background of these two paintings. The paint was awesome; I'm anxious to try it on more paintings! I have another new palette as well, but I'm saving it for when I know what my favorite colors will be from all my sets.

Oooh, I have those. I don’t like the blue much just because of the colour.performs fine though. The green and caput Mortem and lemon are brilliant.

I really like these paints. I'd love to get more of them eventually.

@@MirandaWatsonArt me too. They are continually in and out of my shopping basket. I too am on a buying freeze and trying to work through the supplies I have. But it's very annoying to keep having to use supplies I don't like. I am getting better though at ordering a small representative sample when I want to try a new thing, rather than order a large set and be stuck with it if I don't like it. A few years ago I managed to donate a load of early purchasing errors to an artist friend who used those which made a difference to the stash. But there still seems like an unbeatable mountain of stuff!

I think that's part of the power of a buying freeze is that it makes you use what you already have and you start realizing what you do and don't actually like. Being more discerning in the future will be really helpful!

I want to thank you for introducing this palette. It's the best fusion palette I've tried. with the 16 original wells and the 12 full pan insert, you have toom for 28 full pans of paint and lots of mixing area with the removable clear liner and the metal insert. It also the most reasonably priced version. More space than Alvin of Mejello which are identical to each other except in color. And Way better than Holbein for a fraction of the price! Have you done any more landscape pieces using this brand?

I'm so glad that palette worked for you; that makes me so happy that my video helped someone! I did use the paints again in World Watercolor Month, but I can't remember which one, so I'll have to look when I get home on Monday. I want more colors from Roman Szmal desperately; they're so nice! Maybe I'll put them in my Christmas wish list. Have a great weekend!

Thank you. This was such fun to watch and so informative. Most reviews for Aquarius have swatching but no actually painting. Some coloring but no painting as original and creative as yours. Here I had the opportunity to see stunning use of a limited palette and 2 very original and creative paintings..........And your trees work very well for the night sky. Kudos and much gratitude!

I'm so glad you found it fun and informative, that makes my day! I had so much fun painting these with those colors, even if the tree was tedious, lol. I definitely would like to add a few more colors to this set. Thanks for watching and commenting; I appreciate it!
