Yeap. You;re right. "물기있는 여자" THIS is always controversy. We need to translate it to "matured woman". Not "moist woman". 😁😁😁 And this album was her first try to be a producer. Anyway, Next week IU starts her concert schedule in America. I guess she is on a flight to America now.

This is Korean age. 23 for her is more like 21 1/2 in international age

I was also confused about the translaton for moist so i looked at the korean lyrics & i can see why it was translated that way although i dont think that was the intention. When i read the korean lyrics it make me think of water droplets left on your body after you shower or tear drops. There is an expression 무미건조하다 or 메마르다 which both mean similar things dry, dull, hard-hearted, blunt. If you were to compare this expression to land it would be barren, dry, infertile land. This type of expression is often used to describe a persons lack of emotions or feelings perhaps because they were all dried up by the hardships of life so they became "dry" to life. I believe iu was trying to give an opposite expression to that by saying she doesnt want to become a cold unfeeling person.

CHAT-SHIRE is the first album that IU produced and wrote lyrics for all the songs. If I were to infer, it might be there to send some kind of message, right? Because I personally produced and wrote the lyrics. If you know that IU likes to play with words and give meaning to everyday things, she might think the same way I do. 6:40 When IU made her debut she was 16 years old and this song was made when she was 23 years old. (16+7=23) The public watched IU for 7 years, and because she debuted at such a young age and had a youthful appearance, they treated her as a child rather than her skills and hoped that she would remain as a child. She believes that the song is all about expressing her antipathy towards that society. For reference, her nickname is National Little Sister. 10:15 There is a mention of sunglasses in the lyrics of Twenty-Three. Just as if you wear red glasses, you look red, and if you wear blue glasses, you look blue. I think it reflects the desire to break down the public's color glasses. I want to date freely (I officially announced my public relationship around the time this song came out) and live like a human being, but I think IU didn't like the idea of treating grown children like children and being seen as a format that was tied down to that. People who know her call her both her baby and her adult (an expression that means she looks like a baby but behaves like an adult), and it seems to be because her thoughts are deep and she gives sage-like answers. (Before she became a singer, she was good at studying in school and read a lot from her childhood) If you look at the Lilac MV, you can see that in the animation, she is shown taking off her colored glasses from a first-person perspective, and there are colored glasses in the box. This shows that she wanted to shed her image of herself in her 20s and enter her 30s. There was a song called Zeze in the same album, and there was controversy and slander from the public wearing colored glasses. What kind of glasses are you wearing?

'Moist', I understand, translates closer to 'emotionally mature', or a woman who cries. But IU had already done the song Zeze, so she's not above sly innuendo. We even saw that in her most recent song 'Shh'...'
@LeanAndLooReact3 ай бұрын
Haha. I definitely wondered if it’s left there for innuendo. It definitely had us amused. ❤❤❤ love her.

We have this expression, "물이 올랐다" which means to have its own good season. It's from an image of a tree, or a leaf when it has enough full water in spring, which means vitality and beauty. So we can picture young and vital watery skinned woman.
