Basically, the girl in this book doesn't speak because her dad had killed her mom, and she ends up moving to her cousin's house. there she meets one of her cousin's best friends, and the boy gets so intrigued by why she can't talk. He's like the nice guy, a football player but he's struggling because of his dad's health with family issues for years and no one knows about it. the story gets really sad and I cried my eyes off. I read “bring down the starts” by Emma Scott was also emotional at the end mostly! Still need to read book 2! But you should check out “too late” and “hopeless” by Colleen Hoover if you want intense emotions while reading! Also “even if it hurts” by Marni Mann and “no Tomorrow” by Carian Cole were so amazing and emotional that I was mind blown!!
