The first classical guitar piece I heard back in 1966, played by my future teacher, Jan Carter from Avalon Beach, NSW. I wanted to learn rock and roll and she informed me that she did not teach that style of guitar but taught classical guitar. What is that? Then she performed Spanish Romance and Recuedos de la Allambra. I was "hooked". I can't play anymore due to medical reasons but I still love to hear performers like Thu Le and Jie Lie (in fact anyone!) play the guitar.
