You introduced me to Olafur, and I subbed to his channel for a month or two, but for me your arrangements are more emotional and beautiful than his studio recordings, so I unsubbed and will be content to hear Olafur through you.

Well, that's a huge but undeserved compliment, thank you Brian!🙏 On that, however, I suggest you to subscribe to his channel again, since this is all of my Olafur arrangements, for a while 😉

@@guitar_arrangements Well, ok, I will consider it. I was hoping I'd like him as much as, say, Ludovico Einaudi (not my favorite composer, but a solid example of a contemporary composer that has done quite a few things I like). But your arrangements get to the harmonies and melodies with so much less distracting production than Olafur's postings. There is a woman singing Wicked Game in a stairwell, it's her guitar, a knockout voice, and the natural reverb of white marble stairs. So often one- or two-piece arrangements trump orchestrations for their impact. Thus the enduring popularity of the solo guitar or the singer-songwriter soloist. What a golden age we live in (in a few ways, certainly not all) where we can not just hear, but watch, great performances from a livingroom chair.

@@BrianHill Thank you for your writing. I couldn't agree more on all that. About Einaudi vs. Arnalds, about enduring quality of simple/solo performance, about golden age of availability. But it is sometimes two-sided. It's nice to search and found literally everything. On the other hand, such a vast amount of talented, even unknown people, musicians, from everywhere, often demotivates one in taking his own efforts in playing, arranging, performing. But ok, struggle continues. With my pioneering work on recording never performed and arranged pieces, too 😁
