RMTK11 doesn't get much love as the other . It's a great game and my fav RMTK imo.

There's an RTK11 ( vanilla ) that's English. The PUK ( basically with an expansion ) is Chinese/Japanese only but there's easy to follow modded English patch for it.

It is easier if you have custom character, Lu Bu doesn't have that much officer it's hard to grow. But I guess you're not in the business in maiing things easy. I like RTK 13 the most, the battle is very intense there also from Rp perspective I think those are my favorite.

13 is quite good except battle, it's insanely unbalance

Should I get 10 or 11? I've never played ROTK but always wanted to. I do have several thousands of hours in strategy games. It seems 10 is more rpg and 11 is more strategy. Is that accurate? What would you recommend? Or maybe another one?

if you are already a veteran of strategy games then 11 should be better for you

11 is great for beginners. Not difficult but not easy either. Starts with a big powerhouse like Yuan Shao to learn the curve if you are starting after yellow turban rebellion plus YTR is not a good start up scenerio.
