Oohh Jess, I think you might have mixed up the stories of Book 2 and book 4 in the Mackenzie series. I think the scandalous pictures situation happens in Hart's book and not Mac's. But getting the storylines mixed up is completely understandable of course. Happens to me all the time lol 😂 The Mackenzie Series is the best! Love Ian so much, I read his book on your recommendation and loved it😍❤

I definitely did and realized it when I was filming a different video yesterday 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I’m going to pin your comment instead of trying to explain it in my own comment 😂 Isabella takes a dare to be painted nude by her husband, so I got that mixed up with Hart 😂😂 thanks for correcting me!!

Secret by Julie Garwood is one of my all-time favourites, it is so funny and witty! Love it. Another great read is Prince Charming by Julie Garwood, actually, I'm hard-pressed to find one of her books that I didn't like. I can rank them, so there are defiantly some that are better than others, however, they are pretty much all good to amazing books. She's just a fabulous writer.

Not a Hollywood romance but British celebrity is Lucy Parker's Headliners. I listened to the audiobook yesterday and it was amazing. It's about two enemy TV presenters who have to host a morning show together to save their careers. It had some hilarious moments but also I loved the way the characters, even when not getting along, showed a lot of trust in the other and acted like mature adults. There are four other books in the series that are on my to-read list next.

Just 😍 Lisa Kleypas. Wallflowers series is her best, but the Bow Street Runners are good too. I need more good paranormal /UF/scifi romance recs. Something truly great like Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Nalini Singh, Ruby Dixon and MK Eidem. Already read Suzanne Wright and Annette Marie's series too. 😍 them also. Any ideas?

I love these recommendations and I realized that I haven’t read a Christina C. Jones book yet. And for slow burn, I look through my KU library and think I’m going to read Marriage for One that while I’m recovering from getting my wisdom teeth out.

Judith Mcnaught's "Until You" is a historical that involves amnesia. I remember liking it a lot, but it is from 1994 and it's been a while since I read it, so I'm half afraid it might include problematic elements I don't remember like so many older historicals.

The Girl With the Make Believe Husband by Julia Quinn is another amnesia historical romance - mostly takes place in New York during the Revolutionary War even though they are both British. Actually, this would also be a brother’s best friend trope.

@@crystalsbookishlife I also recommend Only When It’s Us by Chloe Liese for a sports romance. But in this case, it’s mainly the heroine that plays sports. The hero is unable to because of an injury but he used to. 😊

A great friends to lovers is Dark Wild Night by Christina Lauren. The entire Wild Seasons series is so good, it's the best of both worlds, it has that rom commy feel but it's super sexy at the same time. 💙💙

Ahhhh, Jess, Once More My Darling Rogue is a historical with amnesia! I think the plot is very similar to the one from Lisa Kleypas, but in this one the heroine treated the hero very very poorly (and she was also attracted to him) before the amnesia and he was also attracted to her but he didn't like her because she was rude and he thought she saw herself above everybody else. I really loved how the author developed their relationship

What the trope in that series?
@cassiek674 жыл бұрын
@@series-yp6jt I don’t remember specific tropes from each book, but every book follows a different couple. They’re all really unique and unlike anything else I’ve read. The first book is about a magician, the second book is about a fire breather in a traveling circus, one of the books is about a police officer who falls in love with a thief, and another one of the books is about a guy who does parkour/free running. It’s worth checking out!

What is the title of a historical romance where she is an orphan and her family finds her and is trying to get her back. The hero is headed to America but pretends to be her fiancé because he thinks the family is trying to take advantage of her. Please help!

I feel that Hallmark movies are a bit on the “toothache sweet” side. It’s like there’s no action or conflict and everything ends with a happy ever after ending.
@TheGoofy19324 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly, I just can't with Hallmark movies. It's "everytown" USA and the baker or other assorted heroine has a meet cute with our "all American " hero. Cue PG romance, then oh no minor miscommunication, then cheesy resolution and they "lived happily ever after in nowheresville". And that is pretty much the extremely formulaic pattern for All of their movies. 😴 😴
