​@@lukejohnston4666 King Ferdinand and Queen Mary are indeed Romania's most important monarchs because they unified the country. King Michael's only great achievment is the 23rd of August coup and even that was done because of the insistance of his advisors and friends. And the fact that the coup was uncoordinated and not well thought-out meant that there were no negotiations with the Soviets for about a month after the coup, time in which the Soviets were able to steal, kill, abduct, rape anyone and anything in their way. So in a nutshell, people praise King Michael because he was the last king and because he looked handsome in some photos, not because he was necesarily a great leader, since he was clearly not the best king of Romania.

@@supertalentatyou are correct King Ferdinand was most beloved and had the most achievements. Facilitator of the Great Union. A great great man. Mihai I was also loved but younger generations can relate to him more as he was the most recent. Ferdinand was 100% the greatest king of Romania, no comparison can exist between the two. History says it
