@@evlfck I don't even doubt that but you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996. An early millenial that was born in 1981 for example, at the time of Revolution (1989), they would be 8 years old. I really doubt that they would remember much from that time. The worst thing possible for them would be if one (or both) of their parents died during the Revolution. That's the only way I could see that it eould affect them psychologically.

I know that Romania is not some special country but yet we still keep up. Since the collapse of communism we have struggled a lot to be in a better place for the foreigner sight. We have like 100 billion € debt, and the EU is just bullshitting every east country 90% of the recovery comes from the people and the government is hell. Yet we are the 4th country with the fastest internet, we've created the insulin for the diabetics created the reaction plane and even have the most people with private property. We are on our way to redeem all the errors of the past but it's not a short fast way. If you come to romania 90% of people will welcome you with open arms, will give you food and help you out in struggle, because that is to be a romanian to help others without a payment back in mind.

It was not forgotten, they don't make sure to tell the workers to disassemble it before building the last quadrant of the apartment block, so they didn't. They just built it all then wondered why a crane was still in the courtyard. It was left there for decades before a bigger crane came and took it out.

That's because they're Indian in origin. But a lot of people just see Romani and assume it's Romanian, hence the stereotype that we're gypsies despite being a different ethnic group

After a quick search, I discovered my state, and the other 3 of the top 4 most populated states, have population counts higher than the whole of Romania, and 2 of those(including mine) are within a smaller land area!!??? My opinion about Romania just is: Eastern European latin people, I bet that is a sentence you did not expect to come across but, it is true. For latin world, no not latina, LATIN world. From what I have heard Romania is that mysterious distant cousin which you both just discovered. I haven't talked to enough Romanians to make a proper opinion of the people.
