I noticed rapping ln your own beats can give you a feel of how artist feel. I started rapping on some of my beats and notice a couple things to pay attention too. #1 less is better for an artist 2. Keep it very simple it brings ideas quicker to the artist so they can be creative on the beat if we listen to alot of hits from early 2000s all them beats was simple just mixed very well and sounded full.

I hear more and more about producers not really mixing there beats,if they are it’s very minimal.Again I go back to as they referenced,it’s the sounds you have.The eq is to fix shit,you don’t have to eq every single sound that’s ridiculous lol. Main thang is your sounds,have your kicks,snares already fat w/o nothing done,have your sounds rich and warm and fat w/o nothing on them and the level,balance,pan before you even touch the eq. Try to make the track work w/o all the eq’ing only eq when it’s a 100% must like ramono said to remove the lows out the instruments to let the 808/kick cut thru. Dope interview 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
