Thank you for this! Really helped me better understand Romans or at the very least have another perspective. What I remember about this book is how Paul's journey is a relatable one. It's not all up's and not all down's. He lived a life meeting new people and taking it one step at a time. I thought back then that his journey was easier compared to our lives but no. I see that he too had many stories to tell, stories in which not all were up's but even in the down's, God helped him go through them.

I tune in daily :) In this reading I really appreciated chapter 12. Paul goes on for many chapters before that with somewhat dense arguments that require energy to appreciate...there is good reward, but it's work.. Chapter 12 kicks off the practical application and it felt so good to hear it come together in that way after going through the previous chapters day by day.

I didn't watch you for all of the chapters, but I did for most. I watched a couple of sermons that covered others. But I do have a question for you..... Verse 26 talks about the mystery that was previously a secret. Maybe I am totally off, but does this have anything to do with why the letter was transcribed by Tertius? Could the letter have been written and Paul died before putting it in the text?

I'm currently in three different Bible studies and do read the Bible each day. However, giving out rewards and prizes!? Was that a joke maybe? I don't think anyone should receive a prize or reward for something they should be doing anyway. We should show others kindness everyday, too, but we don't actually receive a token or trophy at the end of the day when we're polite to others and smile at strangers. We should do things to please God without expecting anything in return. As a teacher, I hated giving out little rewards to kids for every small thing they did! We should be teaching kids to do the right things, even when no one is looking, and definitely not to expect something just for doing the right thing. Reading the scriptures, understanding Jesus and God's Word, and having a true connection and relationship with God should be rewards enough within our own hearts. Just my opinion.
