Great battle and great cast. Happy is so powerful it was remarkable from the human player to make up for the early lost momentum and even take a tactical lead in the mid game. But happy too strong to not punish the couple of mistakes in the late game that were ultimately decisive

Would Dark Ranger be a better counter against Blood Mage?

Not really. The issue is that all your heroes are going to be low on mana regardless, because Siphon Mana has such a short cooldown that even if you can delay it with Silence it doesn't matter. Same thing as with DH where sure you can delay his MB the end result is still heroes with no mana. As such, you want to try and have spells that have high impact in the rare circumstances you do get them off such as CL's Impale which is a large AoE stun that can mitigate a lot of damage. Or you want heroes like the DK that provide that passive aura which can help even without mana.
