I kinda feel bad for the duke. Man seems to basically have done nothing wrong and can’t understand why the person who he loved and loved him suddenly ran off with their kid and says she hates him. It’s pretty obvious the Queen is the one who actually tried to have the FMC killed. But she just seems to refuse to communicate with anyone. Very frustrating.

yeah every time i see this story its like "it was the queen stupid, stop blaming the man you love who loves you, work with him to destroy her whole world... " but then... as a buddy of mines historian wife pointed out to me after reading this story herself, more then one real life ruler, including women, have really acted this way... its sort of mix of half a dozen or so IRL stories... dude had NO idea.... if only they all caught on faster...
