I have to watch this series again. I loved it the first time, but seeing this analysis, and the awesomely intense portrayal by Lebanese's actor has me jonesing for a rewatch

Anyway, just finished watching your analysis, amazing stuff, brother. It also reminded me of another reason I have to rewatch it - I know a lot more about Rome and Italy's crazy history during this cold war/gladio/years of lead era than I did when originally viewing it however many years ago it was now. Speaking of off the hook insane historical events from Italy/Rome, the Propaganda Due Scandal of the early 80s would make for the basis of an amazing series by itself. It had all types of interesting characters, far reaching implications, and weird and absurdly funny happenstance involved.

Both are satisfying in different ways. If forced to pick I guess I'd go with Gomorrah since it's a little more polished. It's a tough call though.
