Fellow Romans It's easy to weep and say, simply enough, this is the end. But that's where you're wrong, for we Brutii will live on him hearts and minds. Who could not forget the laughter we shared when we watched the Greek leaders torn apart by our vast legions of dogs. And who of us did not shed a tear for Captain Nero’s last ride? Who of us wasn't proud when we watched the Egyptian army buckle under the weight of Julianus Vatinius? I will never forget my historic battle for Patavium and making my way from a General to the faction leader and an Augustus. So let us not weep because our adventure is over, let us rejoice that it happened.

*GREATEST SPEECH TOLD! ALL OF ROME WEEPS FOR JOY!* Citizens flocked to listen to Aulus Augustus return with Pluto's Blessing, to give a Grand Speech celebrating the rise of Brutiism! Among these citizens is this proud reporter, weeping at how we in Jonstantinople once feared the fall of True Rome, for joy that the mass funerals for the slain Restorationists will end, and and for hope that the future will bring! Today, my friends, in order to deal with mental health issues, this will be my last report. Perhaps my son Tercius will take up the mantle! But from now on, I wish to share with you loyal Romans my solemn joy. Vale, may I see you again one day! *Plebeiani Mundorum, Gaudemus!*

Epilogue As years went by the other families faded into memory as the Brutii/Roman Empires rose to take their place Julianus soon ascended into Godhood becoming the base of all major religions across the globe I, Lentulus Brutus spent the next few decades hooting across the British border, soon they decided to crucify themselves so they wouldn't have to hear me and my son's hooting any longer Spartacus the good soon surpassed Homer and all other writers as he became the most popular writer in the world The forces the Armenians continued to debate whether to strike Jon or the Parthians, later both factions would make peace Cassius Corpulentus soon was resurrected and was arrested for causing an empire wide orgy in Scythia Julianus Son, Gnause was later promoted to Faction leader and led Rome into an age of prosperity War pig, sadly forgotten in Jerusalem, died of old age, while he expected to go on campaign again, all generals stationed either left or died of old age. This was the tale of Jon and his generals for Jon conquered the world but we generals, we conquered the comment section.

I've just finished rewatching this whole series. Truly remarkable. Jon is so wonderful as a storyteller and is great at giving personality to all the characters that pop up. Rome: Total War is the first MATN series that really captured my attention, and I'm so grateful that I saw it because it meant I got exposed to all the other stuff on this channel. Without the adventures of Julianus Vatinius, I'd never have seen Fallout Kill Everything or Fallout YOLO. Wow jon, i have been watching this from nearly the beginning and this series was a part of my daily live. I learned a whole lot of new things about the game like campaign and battle strategies, the secret settlement and some history. Heck, i did not even know the marian reforms were a thing! Anyway, as much as i wanted to see the final bits as episodes i am glad you did it this way, it brought back a lot of memories of the early campaign, it was flipping funny and for some reason seeing people like spurius the ugly suddenly being old and being granted the title of victor brought up some emotions. I am very happy you decided you are going to play medieval 2 next. My thanks to you, jon and all the amazing fan accounts. This was an amazing experience!

I have to admit, as a long time player of this game, I really liked your LP of it. Didn't watch the whole thing, admittedly, just the Finale, and this one. But the story you put behind the characters was funny, and compelling.. The final bit about him stealing money and shooting off into space.. golden. I'd, quite honestly, really like to see what you can do with RTR. Although that game is an ENTIRELY different beast.. since after taking a city, you can't do anything with it for about 6-8 turns until you "Romanize" it. It IS far more realistic, but not as practical in terms of a strategy game. Good job though man!

Well I was about 2 years late to the party with this one, but what a great, entertaining, fun, informative series this was. Jon is so talented with his narration skills, and his knowledge of this game is unbelievable. Thanks to Many A True Nerd for this, I'm looking forward to seeing lots more of your work in future!

This was easily one of my favorite series of all time, Jon. If FNV:yolo didn't exist, this would easily be my favorite by far. Your commentary, your combat blunders, the characters that were built from this, I'm sure to remember for years to come. The community interaction especially down in the comments throughout this series has been amazing fun, and I look forward to see how it grows through Medieval 2. You've got me hooked on Total War, Jon. I can't say that's a bad thing in the slightest. Keep going strong, Jon. Stay gold.

This was a great series. Thank you so much for finishing it. I started watching because I love the game, and finished it because of the quality of the commentary. The epilogue was a fitting and humorous end.

Why I did not comment four years ago despite being active in the comments I will never know - however it is not too late to say THANK YOU for this amazing series. When it started I was in a horrible place after breakup from a relationship that lasted from childhood to around my 18th birthday (how foolish a young man can be), and I remember that this series was one of the few things that would keep me going from week to week. Again, thank you for that!
