@@anatoli8270 todo lo que se ve en la playa en la película era falso, o sea era desmontable y solo era una fachada, los edificios por dentro no tenían nada, anécdota pues ver la escena de Dicaprio llorando cuando matan a su amigo a 5 metros de distancia, también a Di Caprio llegar en helicóptero, que le gustaba comer mojarra frita en una palapa muy humilde que es de un amigo, aún existe, se llama la palapa del Charly, también me pareció que él era muy afeminado en persona, ojo no tengo nada contra eso, solo lo estoy señalando y lo mejor que me paso es que el ultimo día de rodaje lleve mi tabla de surf porque había buenas olas y el director me pidió que rodara la última escena con un extra norteamericano que traían ellos, teniamos que caminar por la playa sosteniendo nuestras tablas, al final de la escena el director me invito a brindar con su equipo el final del rodaje en Boca del Rio, Veracruz..(los grafitis eran reales , nada era digital, sólo que todo era escenario falso),por cierto, en esa época Di Caprio era un completo desconocido, solo se hablaba de que era una promesa de hollywood, su fama reventó con Titanic, por eso yo creo que pudieron hacer esa película en mi ciudad, con la fama que agarro después yo creo que hubiera sido muy asediado por la prensa y los fans..

This movie will always take me back to my senior year in high school. Though I can't recall what movie I was actually seeing that night, I remember seeing the trailer for this and being so moved by it I got teary-eyed. The song by Des'ree coupled with the imagery was so, so powerful. I must admit I'm surprised to hear many high schools that have Romeo and Juliet in their curriculum today show this film to students and not the Zeffirelli film of 1968. Baz Luhrmann did an amazing job doing something nobody thought would work by keeping the dialogue true to Shakespeare's original text. And the music? That was the soundtrack to that summer and is imprinted on so many memories of so many people. It remains what I truly believe is one of the best film soundtracks of all time.

Wow, this is so amazing and interesting to see behind the scenes of the movie. Claire Danes and Leo are so cute together ❤ They must have had a lot of fun filming. Love how dynamic and in-your-face the camera work is as it gives a sense of dramatism and dynamic movement, whilst also combing the director’s artistic style. The set ups are absolutely beautiful and awe evoking- especially the scene were Juliet and Romeo kiss in the elevator- so clever how they basically used stop motion of the glass panels to create the illusion of them spinning around in the elevator and feeling giddy from their first kiss 😊

Leo didn’t hate Claire at all! After they they finished filming R+J he tried multiple times to convince her to play Rose in titanic (he even showed up at her house unannounced and tried to change her mind after she told him she didn’t want the part lol). He also begged James Cameron to cast Claire as Rose. In the end, Claire turned it down bc it was filming in Mexico City (where she had just been for over a year filming r+j) and she wanted to leave Mexico and come back to the states so she could take some college courses bc she had just turned 18 at the time. But Leo pushed hard for her to star in titanic… he felt they had good chemistry and has said in interviews that while he loves Kate Winslet and is happy things turned out the way they did, he originally really wanted Claire to play Rose.
