bonjouuuur, quelqu'un a des nouvelles du projet roméo en 2022 ? Parce que ça m'intrigue vraiment et que malgré avoir passé des heures à éplucher toutes les vidéos et articles sur le sujet, il n'y a rien depuis 4-5 ans et le robot n'est pluuuuus du tout mis en avant alors que c'était vraiment une idée innovante et très intéressante

bluefire23 um all robots are meant to walk and asimo is actually a very smart robot it can even hear five people talk at the same time hah!

Asimo was a "walking robot" project. What Honda was doing was optimizing walking overall and that's why you didn't see it doing other things that weren't walking, climbing stairs and the occasional trolley pushing and beverage serving

@@GuardianTiger romeo is made mainly with his eye capabilities, and asimo is made for simulation. In walking asimo is better. In eye and motion tracking romeo is better. Its a concept. Once technology advances more we will find ways to combine both together as robots need to be compact but still need to be functional. Asimo does not have moving eyes, he has cameras. Romeo does but his legs arent as docile. All robots have different purposes for concept. Just because they look the same doesnt mean they work the same. Many robots focus on different aspects. Some focus on walking, some on hand movement, some speed(likely wheels) and some so simulate human body parts(for example romeo follows human eyes while asimo follows human body movements. Robotics isnt about being better than one another, its about making concepts a reality and working together to make life more efficient. Although humanoid robots are practically useless as they can be replaced with better less human looking ones, they are made to have some use while simulating humans. People like you is why I sometimes hate robotics, you try barge in and judge with no experience at all and acting like you know everything. Its like telling a chef that specialises on Italian dishes to make Japanese cousine because "hey, its both noodles". Robotics has many types, animatronics, industrial, entertainment, etc. They all work differently and need different types of experience. Im sorry for writing such a long reply on such on old comment but people like you grind my gears.

Why can't Romeo walk like Nao robot? And I think Romeo should swing his arms and blink. Just a few more upgrades needed.

hes made mainly for his eye capabilities and this is a prototype. No engineer can make a awesome robot first try. They are just documenting their prototypes dude. After five years or more it should be better. Romeo is built different in his legs. It uses mostly mechanisms instead of high torque servos which is why hes so limited in range of movement. Ps. Dont compare robots with each other, each one is made for different reasons and are build mechanically very differently. Although they look they same they are made differently inside. Just search some leg mechanisms on youtube like the Klann and other strider bots. Although they look similar they have very different ranges in motion

Why is aldebaran in this? Even if they make a 2000ft version with 1999ft legs it would walk as slow as nao or this ting

How did that company manage to make a robot that is trash even in comparison to asimo from 2000? Looks like with the exception of maybe boston dynamics, we aren't going to get humanoid robots that are at all competent until we have AI designing every aspect of them, human engineers clearly aren't up to the job.

Ok I am sorry to say this but it's legs can only walk 10 degrees this robot can not move one mile an hour and asimo can go run as fast as a human but with a little werk it can be a grate robot possibly even better than asimo.

This is creepy. That child like head I don’t like it. Most of these nasty contraptions are creepy. That nao and Cozmo are the only ok looking ones, what’s wrong with the designers? They must be creepy people too.
