I am sure you love California like I love North Carolina, but your cottage home in Texas is breathtaking and gorgeous and my favorite of the 2 homes! I prefer more yard more privacy, so the house in CA wouldn't work for us. We have almost an acre in NC, we are less than 2 hours from.the Beach and about 3 ish hours from the Mountains. The best of both worlds! I love that cottage everything there, The kitchen, family room, dining room, bathroom, master bedroom, etc and the porches, just WOWZERS! YOU MADE THAT HOME BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE AND A 1 OF A KIND !!!!❤ I LOVE YOUR POOL IN CA, but would prefer a larger kitchen, can't wait for your kitchen reno in CA!! ❤ I adore Kinsley!!

So excited to be back at the cottage. As a reseller, here's a tip re packing breakables like cups and pitchers, vases etc... pack the inside of the item as well as it absorbs any shock so much better and things are less likely to crack or break :)

I agree and while I like to think everyone actually means it and would stick around no matter what, I think there are people who don't care about her well-being and treat content creators and YT channels like television. If they feel a program isn't producing the thrills every time, they stop tuning in. This is her business and how she earns her living. And MaCenna is a very smart businesswoman. She's getting good at striking a balance so that she can keep the adrenaline junkies satisfied without burning herself out. I agree she doesn't necessarily have to complete a big job every week, but I also don't think "snippets" would hold her subscriber base. Trust her to know what she needs to do.

I get being overwhelmed with the diy renovation list! I've been doing a major renovation on my home myself for 5 years! I have 6 kids and during the pandemic, I was teacher mommy so there was a huge gap in the renovations. I had to learn how to get done what I can with the energy, motivation, and time for the day. Learning to tap out for a bit on big projects is so important. So glad you took a step back to reset yourself on all the things.

I think others are forgetting is that this is not a scripted/tv-planned/with fullhouse production team type of channel and that everything done in an organic manner. What I really appreciate is that you take your time and are intentional with your choices. Everything is also very realistic and the ins and outs of your whole process isn’t magic or unattainable with the effort you give. No rush on getting everything done at a certain time frame. Then you set out to renovate the house keeping us all ( including you) focused on change, and new, and re-loved décor. You kept us busy with you. You, and I do mean you, kept us all up lifted and positive. Because of you and your work, I don't even remember a pandemic, not at all. So please, please, allow me to thank you for the very needed distraction as I went with you on this fun journey, and learned new stuff along the way. I still feel like a large mirror over the Entryway table or Fireplace in the LA house is a must!! lol! Due to the limited light in the space - I think a mirror would really make a big difference in that respect & break up all of the art between fireplace. table & gallery wall (which I Love! ). I think a sconce would look nice in the center of the board & batten under the stairs...or some perfect hanging sculpture (of the right size) might be cool! I'm sure you will find something MaCenna!

I’ve just done a vague scroll through to see if anyone else has commented but the fabric you bought is what we call a tea towel in the UK! And a lot of people fold in half lengthways and tuck them over the oven door handle as it dries against the door or just looks pretty x

I missed seeing the cottage! May I suggest using a stone countertop cleaner/sealer on your countertops. To protect your countertops from staining and it won't leave a buil up on your stone countertops. Kinsley looks so adorable as usual.

We are in the 9th year of renovating the house that we bought just over 8 years ago. We are doing it ourselves and are not in a hurry, preferring to enjoy each and every step and every awesome transformation. I am an interior designer and my husband is a journeyman joiner, cabinetmaker, and contractor. When working for others speed was/is more important. In our own place we prefer being the turtles and not the hares so that we can take the time to do extra special things. Even though it is/was our livelihood, we are constantly stepping back and saying, wow, we did that!
