You need to do an episode on how to find a public toilet in Rome. Never ever exit a cafe, restaurant or museum without going to the loo before you leave!

Hi and thanks for watching! I am going to be posting a video soon about Rome in March, but in the meantime I can tell you to come on over to the website to find out everything you need to know about visiting Rome in March, including the weather (which is typically really unpredictable! Plan for rain, plan for chilly weather, and layer.) www.romewise.com/rome-in-march.html Hope that helps!

It depends. All you're gonna need is a jumper and a jacket at max. You're definitely not gonna need a coat. Though, it depends. People in Rome will still wear full on Winter clothing but that's because they're not used to cold weather. If you come from a hot country then you might wanna bring a coat but other than that, a jacket is all that's needed.

Btw, an umbrella is also recommended. It rains a lot during Winter, Spring and Autumn, which is quite a contrast compares to the insanely dry Summers.

Been living in Rome for 3 years now and I haven't used a coat in 2 years. All you really need is a jumper, an umbrella and a jacket. Don't get me wrong, during Winter people here dress like the Beast from the East could come any day but that's just because they're not used to freezing weather. Coming from London, I've never had problems with the Winter cold. In fact, the last time it snowed in Rome was in 2018 when the Beast from the East hit. At the time, I was living in London though, which got hit even harder (I miss snow :( ). I've heard the last time before that was in 2012 so it really almost never snows here. In fact, I've often had to wrap my jacket around my waist in the afternoon because temperatures often go above 15°C during Winter. If you're lucky enough, temperatures can even reach 20°C so if you're gonna walk all day, then I'd just recommend a jacket or you're gonna be sweating a lot. In the end though, it's always best to look up the weather for the days you're gonna be staying for before you pack. You never know.

Thanks a lot for watching my video and for your comments. I think you are right, winters are usually fairly mild and if you come from a colder climate, you may not need to bundle as much as I do (being from Florida.) I still think preparing to layer is the best way to go. Thanks again for commenting!

Ciao! Grazie! Always love watching your informative videos.. Do you know much of the Pizzarium? I keep seeing this in other videos..looks like a mini Mall you walk around .and where the Best pizza is served..and how they serve by the weight? Id love to venture and to new places...I bet you have been there? Any chance of a "writeup vlog" of this "mall" and the Pizzarium? Gabriel Bonchi apparently is the Michelangelo of Pizza in whole of Rome (said one critic) ....would LOVE to see you do this?

Hello Diane and thanks for your suggestions. I know Pizzarium well. I am not sure where you saw that it's like a mini mall. Maybe you are referring to the location inside Mercato Centrale in Termini station. We'll be putting a video and page about this on the site soon. The pizza by Gabriele Bonci is delicious. The dough is the secret ingredient. It's light and crunchy and very easy to digest. We will definitely be making a video about pizza in Rome. We are currently updating our page on the website, so please stay tuned! Elyssa

My daughter and I are travelling to Rome, Florence, Venice, Lugano and st moritz February 17-26. We want to take the bernina express to st moritz and Lugano. Is it more cost effective to buy the eurail pass?

Hi. Expected to arrive rome next week. Are things normal there with the latest virus going around ? I appreciate your feedback. Thanks so much.
@Romewise
@Romewise 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Joddie and thanks for watching. Things in Rome are quite normal, and everyone I know, including myself and my husband, are going about our business as usual. I've been out and about, am going out today, and am planning another Colosseum visit Friday to go over the Underground tour. As of today, the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage has decided to suspend the Free Sunday on March 1, presumably to help stem the crowds. All state museums and sites are still open. On the other hand, I am not a medical professional, so the bottom line is you should consult travel advisories from WHO, CDC, and your embassy.

In January 2019 it was freezing This year I will travel with my kids and I hope it’s not that cold , but I love to see snow and live in cabin where do you recommend city in Italy?
@Romewise
@Romewise 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, January is a really cold month. If you do like the snow, I cannot recommend highly enough visiting the Dolomites in winter. It's a beautiful part of northern Italy, part of the Alps, and very cozy in winter.

Wouldn’t it also depend if you have easy access to a laundry"
@Romewise
@Romewise Жыл бұрын
That would certainly impact how MUCH clothing you should bring with you. Actually it's not too hard to find laundromats around Rome so if you're travelling for a longer stay and want to do laundry, you should be able to.
