I know where Sims Close is because my paternal grandparents lived in nearby Gilbert Road. My Dad also remembers when he was a child crossing Mr and Mrs Sims in the street when they were alive.

Lovin' it Adam! I wish you could pop into your TARDIS and do the same thing in that Market 50-60 years ago... It was an amazing atmosphere, still on the medieval cobbles. Loads of fruit and veg stalls, pets, records and even butchers. I grew up on the veg! Yes the London Road went through the middle of the market, buses, lorries and all, but the cattle had already gone by then LOL! Thank you so much for the interview with the older folks and of course the characters too! Nellie Sim's granddaughter must be a local celebrity.
