I haven’t fully recovered from my ED yet, and sometimes I worry that I never will, but seeing this community and all these people lift each other up is so inspiring. Thank you, Ro. By sharing your struggle, you have brought so many people together and helped us see that there IS hope and there IS life beyond an eating disorder. I feel freer than ever, and my worth is NOT defined by my body

The difference from your first Q&A is astounding!!! You're just so much more animated and alive, your voice is different, your personality shows and you are just so inspiring and encouraging, despite your own struggles.... I absolutely love your sense of humour which is coming out more and more. Just such a genuinely lovely person and such a sweet soul with amazing energy. (little bit woo woo) but hopefully you will understand what I mean!!! Loved getting to know you more. Other interesting facts unrelated to your eating disorder. Ro the person. I absolutely cannot wait to see the video where anorexia has left you alone completely and you are speaking solely from a clear head without any food fear or body image thoughts. One day you will be living in your dream home with your dogs, looking down from your balcony, breathing in the fresh air and thinking, 'YES I DID THIS "🙌🎉💯💪 (or looking down on your house if you actually meant an inside balcony)!!! Take care Ro, you totally got this and deserve recovery and the freedom it brings. You deserve a happy life, eating whatever you want and having energy to do whatever you want and go wherever your heart desires! ❤️❤️❤️lots of love sweetie xx

As someone who went from being slightly overweight to healthy weight, your videos have been very insightful in how to change my perspective on food. I had breakfast this morning, even though it was just a couple of hours left until lunch. Because I was hungry, and because I found your videos yesterday. I have issues with binge eating, and everything that comes with it. It's fascinating (and frightening) to me how very similar the destructive thought patterns are concerning food even though the disorders are different. It's amazing to follow your recovery, and witness you doing what your body needs even when it's extremely challenging. It's so, so helpful to hear you say things I KNOW are true, but still need to be reminded of. It gives me hope that I'm not doomed to obsess over food the rest of my life, and inspires me to listen to my body more. Just wanted to say thanks, really, for deciding to recover and for sharing the journey with us. :-)

What you said about the food diary is exactly how I feel. I told my therapist recently that’s it’s not helpful writing everything I eat down everyday and how I feel and that was the best decision. I already think about everything I’ve eaten in a day but writing it down just makes it even worse x

I’m fully recovered from anorexia now, and the biggest mental change for me (other than the obvious food-related stuff) is that I feel so much more confident. I remember that before I would constantly feel like people were watching and criticizing me/my body and thinking that I was sick/malnourished, so I felt really ashamed of myself and my body. But after recovery, my mindset towards myself has completely changed, and I feel so much more thankful and proud of me and what I can do. To those of you struggling right now, I believe in you. Recovery may seem difficult, burdensome or maybe even unnecessary at times, I’ve been there, but that is just the process and journey to reach your ultimate destination, which is a life of greater happiness and personal freedom, and it really is all worth it in the end :))) I wish you all the best!

It's so nice and calming to hear your thoughts and experiences of your recovery journey because sometimes I forget that I'm not alone at this and sometimes some situations are hard and some times it isn't. But the way you talked about it makes so much sense and it makes me think about my own thoughts and behaviors. I appreciated this. I loved also hearing more about you too....I know you are in the recovery journey community but it's also nice to hear about the person not just the struggles, the ED, the treatment, the food, the body...I'm sure you know what I mean. But it's lovely. And I very proud of you for baking...I haven't done it and it does get rough sometimes...but you did it. And you are having it, that's great to me. Thank you though, this means loads. You seem so much more clear headed and it makes you glow from the inside out. I’m sober from substance use disorder and also from ED (for lack of a better word). Still coping with BD- have always had the worst issue with that- but seeing someone doing well makes me feel inspired and I think it’s pretty amazing we’re all fighting against a mental illness by mostly pure well and determination. Like a super power. Don’t give up everyone. No matter your struggle. I had em all. Seriously, if you woulda told me ten years ago when I was 18 that I’d be writing this comment now I would literally laugh, and not even in disbelief, like in mocking. I was so bad I didn’t *believe* anyone was well who previously had an addiction or ED. I thought even the ones who seemed healthy as hell were lying juuuuust a little bit or else they must be lying about the disease bc “no one could have these diseases and get better”. But honestly I did. Five and a half years sober/clean/healthy after a decade of being sick. Just gotta stop wearing baggy clothes :) haha I’ll take it.

Litteraly, I've just finished watching your older video from like 6 months ago in which you were overcoming fear foods (it was the first time when I saw you). I looked for more videos. I saw that this one is the latest so clicked it. My dear, you have no idea how the way you look now touched and inspired me! Those fuller cheeks and everything. You are doing well. Love u and all the people watching this ❤️

what you said about ed teams is sooo true - even though i rarely struggle anymore, every time i go back to my ed team for a check up they always talk to me like i’m struggling and i feel stupid saying i don’t because they act like i’m lying?? and i’m so much better than my lowest point now which i did myself essentially since they never actually discussed why my ed developed
