She has a gold mine there. Loved talking to her, she was so friendly and enjoyed telling the stories of the radios and her late husband Ron.

I agree! If you can think of it they stuffed a radio into it.

This is totally my kind of museum!!! I love how back in the day they incorporated a radio into just about any type of furniture!! I just had to look it up, $550 in 1946 is about $8500 today... Wow!!!! I'm pretty sure I had the Mickey Mouse transistor radio as a kid. I totally love these kind of places! Very cool find!!!

It was very cool. Wow $8500, that’s be hard to justify for a radio or even a piece of furniture today.

Your visit to beautiful West Virginia was way to short, Tolle! Back into the snow and cold too. It's interesting that after leaving Florida and getting further north the first thing you see is Micky Mouse! So many more interesting radio's than Micky too. I always wondered why I heard voices while drinking gin! Loved all the radios and other antiques there. Thanks for the tour, Tolle.

😂 you might have a point… all those times I thought I was drunk and the booze was talking to me it really had a radio in it.

Amazing place! I found this very interesting even though I'm not into radios. Thank you for sharing. Very kind, knowledgeable lady...hope your donation made it worth the long, custom tour she gave you. She'll probably have to sell some of that stuff to survive with the cost of living today.

Your first few seconds make you an automatic WV citizen, though AnonyMommy would need to confirm. $550 radios? Wow! And now I have the Lone Ranger theme in my head all freaking day. 🐴 Did I hear a reel to reel machine? We were still using those back when I started in radio. It QUICKLY changed. Was waiting for “This preserved duck-billed platypus is a radio.”
