I’m actually going into an internship at a National Park near where I live because of it. This episode truly inspired me. I know she isn’t real and I know I may not ever get to meet the actor who portrayed her in real life, but thank you Leslie Knope. Thanks for inspiring me to chase my dreams. UPDATE: I wasn’t eaten by a bear! Don’t worry! But the internship went really well and I found that I actually fit quite well in working the landscape of the National Parks Service! Ron's flash forward was the best part of the finale, and the most emotional one. It would have packed more of a punch in this clip if they included the end when Ron paddles in his canoe, smiling happily while "Buddy" played. His relationship with Leslie is the best part of the show and the ending reflects their absolute trust, devotion and understanding of each other. It was the perfect end for Ron, all because he reached out to his "workplace proximity acquaintance." The perfect moment to a perfect series finale.
