oh my heart ... what a soulful voice, dreamily uttering words poignant and wise. he breaks my heart then gives me hope. the melody and chord progression is so rich in major harmonies, all laid out in such a calm friendly manner. so reassuring and warm

Yes indeed, fully agree. I got to open once for Ron with my buddy’s band in Seattle. Great night.

I just love this guy's stuff... he reminds you a bit of Neil Finn in that his songs sound deceptively straightforward, but once you look under the surface you realise there are some fantastic things happening. Lovely melodies, lovely voice (am I the only one who hears a touch of Paul McCartney?). Great stuff.

I hear the Mac. Has seen it all and still cheerful like Paul.

Some are complimenting Ron as a 'world class' songwriter, I'm sure I should dwell on things like that at those moments when I sorely need the encouragement and inspiration of his music. But maybe tags like that are nonsensical. All I know is that his words reach my gut, they've pulled me toward many better appreciations of life, and of my life. He's very real and has a wonderful heart.

He sounds like Ron Sexsmith. And like Bob Dylan has said of his own singing (to a critic), he may not have the voice you're expecting, he hits all the 'right' notes---something your heart, not your ear, decides.

Ron sounds like Paul McCartney when he sings. I love that.

A blend of Elvis Costello & Paul McCartney (who actually did work together, as many of you will know). What could go wrong that way?
