I think it is that most precious and limited time when we are all innocent babies and the world has not yet put upon us all the worldly troubles and we are at our supreme purest of heart and being. What a beautiful thing that Ron has expressed and tapped into.....unbelievable song writing and expression of empathy and love.

Nice! I first heard this song as covered by Cry Cry Cry. Lucy Kaplansky sings it beautifully. Nice to hear the writer perform it.

This is probably my favourite Ron Sexsmith song. An absolutely beautiful song. Not sure what if I agree with the interpretation by some. Guess good songs are interpreted in many different ways. For me, it's about becoming a father and the joys of that. That's how I relate to it.

I agree I've heard several songs and wonderful tunes from many that never reach the ears of the main stream .
