As a southpaw boxer that’s still active as a boxer (me:), thank you my fellow boxer and champion Ronald “Winky” Wright for your outstanding technique, defense, and shot gun jab. As I continue to compete, box, and spar, shadow box, and train, you continue to ALWAYS teach me to this day. 🥊🥊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖✝️

Winky Wright was a Beast, one of the best all time and one of my all time favs ... A lot of people don't give him his due, nobody wanted to fight Winky during his prime.

U remember watching this live,probably got it on tape somewhere. This was when I moved boxing. Even though it was ppv you got value for money mostly. Good old days when sport was affordable. Thanks for taking time to upload

I spared with Adrian at the Lynne amateur boxing club. Good fighter and a great Amateur and a good professional fighter. Big love for you brother man. And Ronald Winky Wright is also a great fighter. And that right hand lead jab is a Class act. The only way to stop that jab was to use an open glove to catch it and block it I cannot understand why his corner men didn't see that. It was sad to see him get beaten by Winky Wright. 😢

Adrian Dodson was a good fighter but never achieved his full potential. He never really recovered from this loss and then developed stamina problems which ended his career.

Really how?
@tyronemurphy2905 Жыл бұрын
@@richarda3514 He started running out of stamina in his fights and was stopped by opponents he should have beaten. He was diagnosed with some blood disorder that was responsible for it.

They're all for Dodson but Wright was far too slick. He was avoided for years because he was a defensive master. He operated under the radar for years until Shane Mosley gave him a chance, then he hit the big time. He beat Mosely again then he beat the great Felix Trinidad, He went on to beat Ike Quartey, he drew with Jermain Taylor and went the distance against the legendary Bernard Hopkins. A special fughter indeed.

Big effort from Dodson, Wright was just way too good, his jab couldn't miss.
