When my mom was quite old, and in a wheelchair, we would take a walk around a man made lake at a park near our house. It was a busy place, with a two lane paved path all around the lake-about a mile and a half around. Joggers, bicyclists, walkers and rollers, like Mom. She said one day, “let’s say hello and wave to everyone who we meet on the path.” It was so much fun! People were shaken out of their reverie with us waving furiously with big smiles on out faces, calling out “Hello!” People drove their bikes off the path. We got kind of famous for our “Hello Tours” around this little lake. People started looking forward to seeing us on the path. We shared so many smiles. It still makes me smile when I think of her and me, shocking people right off their path with a simple hello. I love “be first.” Say “hello” first. ❤️

As an introvert, I had always kept to myself and avoided making new friends: I thought I was healthiest alone. But then I realized that having a few, close friends who have the same values has improved my life exponentially! Your circle doesn't have to be big: just intentional.

I have really come to appreciate these videos I've just started watching today. I'm trying to change my life for the better. I'm almost 22, still with mom and pops, no license or car and for sure not at a job I want to be at forever. So I'm trying to change now and make changes to improve my life to the standards I expect of myself. Trust me when I say that they're high and I mentally beat myself up for not having achieved anything at 21. So I appreciate you and am starting to implement these things tonight!

My favorite habit you mentioned was complimenting yourself! It is definitely easy to get caught up in the negativity and then treat yourself badly. Completing in yourself definitely brings out more positivity which I think would translate to all aspects of your life. Keep it up friend!

I read or heard somewhere about creating rituals instead of routines. A morning ritual or an exercise ritual would be strongly centered in your values. Creating the right atmosphere, attitude and motivation. It's a shift in perception.

I love writing my plans and goals, at the beginning of each year I write goals for the year and plan out how I will reach them, then I check at the end of the year to see how it went. I also do this each month. I've never thought about complimenting myself, I need to though, I am constantly criticizing myself. A habit I would like to start again is running at least 3 times a week, it's a stress reliever for me

I think this one is my favorites so far!! Thank you Ronald, seriously, because there is so much to learn in this and just the way you're so comfortable in the way you share, it makes it easy to see the potential in picking up these habits. Finding humor in things is a favorite as so many of us are so serious unnecessarily and writing things down, how long I've been trying to get into this habit is crazy. haha.
