I've never seen nothing like him; he was a BEAST, powerful like a Buffalo, crazy skills with both legs, a great passer (better than it seems), fast like a demon, a killer... a monster. But, he got injured and he never would be the same again, sadly. Healthy, he was the best attacking player ever

my childhood hero! everybody wanted to be like him even after he scored both goals against Germany in the 2002 World Cup although it hurt like hell seeing my nation lose... his 2 major knee injuries are the only reason people call messi the best one ever in my opinion! in his prime he had Cristiano Ronaldo´s strength, skills, speed and other abilities and messi´s ball control and balance both combined... what an absolute beast! this video is the best one of him but can´t do him justice at all

ll_-CROSS-_ll Do you want to see some justice done to Ronaldo? Watch: "Ronaldo mejores jugadas/Ronaldo best moves Corinthians 2009" Understand two things when you get to watch this video though! He was with over weight due to his Thyroid problem and two he was constantly bullied, because he was fat, but at that time nobody knew he had that Thyroid problem. Yet that's when real justice is done. He managed to overcome all the crop and still retire with dignity, playing his last games as professional showing his skills. It's a real good video

Thats how you know it? How about the fact that ronaldinhio means the little ronaldo(Ronaldinho looke up to Ronaldo all his childhood). How about the fact that he played very few years in contrast to Messi and Cristiano and people still consider him the greatest talent that the football has ever witnessed. He had more talent in his legs than almost all other football legends combined. Ronaldo won two world cupa. 1th when he had 17 years old in 1994 in USA but he was to young and dont came in in any match. In 1998 Ronal already the best player in the world but , in one of the most bizarre episodes in the history of the cups, Ronaldo had a seizure on the eve of the final match with France. He came to play the final but visibly far from his best. The players of Brazil were visibly down with their best player in that situation and France won that cup. In 2002 after recovering from another terrible knee injury Ronaldo came to the 2002 World Cup accused of being finished. He destroyed the cup played the world at his feet made the two goals of the final against Germany. In this team of 2002 there was another Ronaldo, nicknamed Ronaldinho (little Ronaldo in Portuguese) who in a few years would inherit the crown of Ronaldo phenomenon.

But if the ref had called it, they would be spared the humiliation :) the scenes where Ronaldo is on the ground crying from pain is from when he suffered a complete rupture of kneecap ligaments. Most doctors thought he would never play football again. He did. Won a World Cup (ps: he also won the 1994 World Cup, although he did not play any match as he was 16 or 17 and a bench player). He still got several other titles with Real Madrid, Milan and Corinthians, after the knee problem.

That goal scored with a volley kick by the ground was intentional - so you can avoid the goalies hands, that close he doesn't have time to dive down. And the kick still has power after the bounce to continue in the goal, coz i's a glancing touch. You know how quickly you can pss the basketball to your team mate. The Earth isn't as bouncy as a panelled floor of course - but it's a solid packed ground with a short cut grass, it gives bounces. Often the kick also bounds pretty high, so making a spectacular goal.

"Dropping" like you said 100 times is not like in baskrtball or any other american sports. In football the biggest humiliation is puting the ball between your legs, or send someone in different direction by your footwork. As normally players give 100% effort in games, they often trow themselves on the ground, trying to touch/steal the ball. Also goalkkepers always dive, so dropping is not a issue
