i understand Cr7 wanting Jr to suffer but if he's gonna become great he needs to sign for a proper academy such as either manchester, sporting or real madrid and let him make his own way, this teams offer stay and housing to kids. I think under arbeloa at real madrid he could develop properly and marcelo's son plays there too so it'd be great to see them playing together, Jr playing for some saudi arabia academy isn't gonna cut it especially when kids like yamal are making their debuts pretty early and Jr is already 14. only 3 years younger than lamine

I think junior has potential but i doubt he will follow on the footsteps of ronaldo, I know he's only 14 right now but junior should be playing for the academy of some good team, either manchester or sporting or real madrid that will help him develop, nowadays kids are making their professional debut faster , just look at yamal at 17, jr is only 3 years younger. Ronaldo says he only wants to put a little bit of pressure, telling his son he'll be nothing isn't a little bit of pressure. Besides, his son would never believe that since he can always just dine out on being "the son of" if he doesn't become the best. So it's not even a useful lesson for someone in his position. Tell it to a kid in the Brazilian favelas instead.

There are very few, (very, very few) examples of top athletes who's children ended up even better (bobby and Barry Bonds, Archie, and Eli/Payton Manning, Del Curry and Steph Curry), so the chances of that happening here are IMHO very slim, but I hope he proves everyone wrong. I think what his missing is his dad's adversity, and that's not something you can replicate when you're born into incredible privilege. But good luck to him either way.
