When I was 12 I saw a tv programme about Ronaldo in 93-94 when he was 17. I told my older brother, this 17 year old is going with brazil to world cup, maybe he will be the next Pele. My brother laughed at me sayin I was a foolish child. Ronaldo was on the bench that world cup and my brother asked me where was my new pele now. 2 years later he wasn´t laughing any more=) Ronaldo made football what it is today. King 4ever

The Ac Milan doctors said and say that the problem is in his tiroid. Some other people say that was natural: ronaldo is like that now, because Nature wanted it. In 2006 he was with 90kg. Dont get me wrong R9 in the 2000s was still supersonic, in Real Madrid had plenty of games where he showed he couldnt be beat in the last meters, but what i think changed was that explotion he had in the 1990s, it was even more amazing than the one in the 2000s. And when the years went by, he kinda stopped doing those longs runs like in the 1990s And you're right, he may have been over 90kg but he wasnt FAT and today i wouldnt say he is fat either but his face is a perfect circle though

We can notice his intelligence and Romario's by seeing how much time they played in a country and already understand a language at minimum level. If you pickup players like Robinho and Ramires, that never learned how to speak English you can pretty much nail that conclusion.

In his prime: best striker in the modern game. Period. Fastest player on the field, just as fast with the ball as without. Great technique. Great shot. Even great headers. At the WC06, people complained he was fat and out of shape, but he still scored 3 goals in a disastrous brazilian team (no one was in good shape, didn't play together...) Too bad he had all of these physical problems...

First let me say ronaldo is a beast and sorry he got hurt so sad that and he drinks alot. He is the phenom and best striker of modern era maybe all time ( di stefano). BUt Pele no, remeber at 17 pele was Playing in the world cup scoring a hat trick vs france in the semi and a brace in the final 6 goals in his first 3 games at 17! put to that he took a boat to europe and was feeling ill its incredible i think he is still the only player to score a hat trick in the WC and he did it at 17 .
