In 2011 my dad passed away of a stroke. My heart was broken. I missed him so much and I asked God a silly question. I prayed, “God, if I have a million dollars I would give it to you just to see my dad one more time.” A few days later I was praying and I saw my dad with my own eyes and I was shocked but very happy. I asked again, “God please let my mom in Vietnam see my dad in exact way.” A few minutes later my mom called me and was crying. She said while she was praying she saw my dad with her own eyes. She said she was shocked and was so happy to see him. My mom and I are forever grateful to God for letting my dad visited us that same day even my mom and I were ocean apart.

It was at a school party 14 years ago and as always I was sitting by myself next to the dance floor, having nobody to dance with. Then this song comes on and the prettiest girl from my class comes over to me, grabs my hand and pulls me onto the dance floor. It was then that I slow danced with a girl for the first time in my life. She wasn't in love with me or anything, she just wanted me to feel included. My father passed away this year from lung cancer. 1 month before he died, this song got played in our car and he asked my mother: “What if tomorrow never comes for me?” Turns out, it came true. Ever since May 12th, there’s no “tomorrow” with him anymore. My mother had a really hard time even until now. They’re a very harmonious couple and losing him is the worst thing that could be happen to her. She’s the one who’ve been taking care of him 25/7, ever since he got diagnosed. They are each other’s source of strength and happiness, and they never had a fight before so you can imagine how broken her heart is when the man of her life got taken away. I just hope that my mother could see the bright side of life again, and I hope that tomorrow always comes for us. Time will heal eventually. I lost my mom May 27, 2017. She died in her sleep. She died peacefully but I was left brokenhearted but I know she's resting peacefully and wants me to live the life she taught me. She left a void and not even with time it can be filled. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
