I first got to see this area courtesy of WA Camping Adventures, for some reason we have never been down to the end of the track, let alone going down the river. The closest we have been so far is Snottygobble Loop. Great to see more of what the area has to offer. We really do have to drag the boat down there and experience it first had one day. Loved the video. Great to see consistency in the video - Ie. reaching camp in the dark even on a boat :)

My wife and I do a different type of traveling,. We have an International 4700 flat bed, (tow truck), on top of the flat bed goes a Suzuki Grand Vitara, on top of the Suzuki goes a sea kayak or a canoe, and the truck pulls a 32 foot travel trailer. We set up base camp then use the 4wd and boat to explore the surrounding country,. It keeps my wife happy to have a very comfortable base camp.

You’re kidding, Malcom Douglas wouldn’t bat an eyelid at that lame arse boating. He crossed bass strait in tinnie, did all the east coast, all around the Kimberley with crocs and 10m tides. Different leagues.

Great trip for sure boat trips like this are the only reason I have not yet sold my tinny Now I just need to go and take a river trip like this one day Never new such places existed on west coast Many rivers like this on east coast I have another quick one what happened to Wayne’s truck you mentioned it had an accident how is he getting on with a rebuild will there be a back story at all Cheers great stuff mate More of the river runs please But I just knew it you would be arriving in the dark after your hike Hope you have rigged some lights and pack a good touch for next trip

Tannins from the eucalypt wood leech into the water and stain it yellowish-brown. It's harmless.

Great location, cinematography, adventure, but..... the boating is so Russel cioght, it makes me cringe. From the constant steering over correction at slow speed, smashing the motor leg into the bottom attempting to beach, generating huge wake sitting on the transition to planning in a no wash area, it’s bad. When you beach a boat you don’t need to ram it up the beach. You start tilting the motor up as you slowly approach, then cut the motor and trim it right up before it hits the bottom and you will nicely glide right to the beach. Then you hop out lift the bow and pull the boat further up a bit.

If course it is mate I’ve never driven a boat before. I’m a total novice when it comes to boating. It’s like expecting everyone to know how to 4wd for the first time, it just doesn’t happen.

For me it’s not good viewing is my point. I also wouldn’t watch a novice 4wdriver in bog standard triton get bogged on beach with 40psi tyres and then have his mate attempt to recover him with snatch strap on his tow ball. To an experienced boater that’s what the boating content is like. Just my 2 cents so you know what some people are seeing.

I’m totally awear mate, id be kidding myself if I thought I was an expert at boating if I was embarrassed or worried about it I wouldn’t be doing it. I’ve learnt a lot and I’m loving the experience of it all.

I don’t think the content is bad, I think my skills are novice (not bad). Positivity mate, positivity 🤙 yeah sure some boating experts might find it difficult to watch but most of my viewers are not boaties hence I’m not worried about what people think... other people thinking about getting into it can get an idea of what they are in for and can follow my progress. Don’t like don’t watch, skip to driving 🤙 peace out
