As a fighter, I love Ronda Rousey. Yes, I'm definitely a fan of hers -- that's the gist of it. Having said that, for all the trash talk she does in interviews on various takes she has on women's MMA, she is verbally modest about her fighting and predictions on the outcomes of fights she's booked to compete. I like that about her -- she lets her fighting do all the talking for her. Even when it's all said and done, she tells things like it is in her own mile-a-minute-high-speed-low-drag manner.

There was an interview Ronda did a while back concerning "Cyborg" Santos; and her reply was not as kind and delicate toward Santos' dirty drug test as Carano's was. Needless to say, Ronda all but said that Santos would be an annoyance to her where Santos' juicing is concerned. As for Carano possibly coming back to fight Rousey, whether for the title or not, THAT would be something to see. Whether Gina or Rousey wins, no matter how short or long the fight is, that'll be something to see.

+JimCim78 i don't know about fascinating maybe in a car crash way. But since u seem at least receptive let me repeat my observation to you. When Ronda was in her last Olympics , if you really try to look close at videos of her matches and notice as much as you can about her body .... it is hard to do with the gee being so baggy and such, you might notice a few things. One thing is she looks like she is wearing a flack jacket or bullet proof vest type thing under her shirt ,, you know how cops do that and you can tell because they look real puffy all around their chest and upper body. Even artificially fat is how I could describe it. But she is not fat , its pure muscle bulk. Her womanly chest is not there , it is pure muscle with no "tits". Even her head looks like Barry Bonds head, and her back is just so thick with muscle she looks very puffed up. And the best evidence I have is that she does not look that way now. For example, look at a video of Hulk Hogan vs Iron Sheik in their first match in WWF,,, then look at any video of Hogan anytime form late 90's until today. Look how puffy Hogan looks in his earliest days when he admits he used roids. Its exactly what Rousey looked like then and now. Thickness of head , neck, back and chest. Plus why would she be in an Olympic weight class higher then where she fights today when she was younger back then. It makes no sense that Rousey would go into the Olympic games 10 pounds or more heavier then she fights at in the UFC. No boxer for example has ever gone to the Olympics at one weight and then turned pro at a lower weight. All this stuff just makes me say hmmmmmmm. thanks for reading this and have a good day

She does have a thick neck but it's built. She's thinner now (saw the Tate fight where she did inhuman things to her elbow) but still she's built like an #1 brick sh*thouse. Aside from Cyborg, everyone else she mentioned (including Carano) would be probably nothing more than an annoyance in the ring for her.

@@rb9888 Keep in mind that when I wrote this it was APRIL 2011, before she had even fought in Strikeforce, let alone the UFC. She had 1 win and no one other than very hardcore MMA fans really knew about her and she was a fresh ex-Judoka. For that context, her striking did look _relatively good_ in this video.
